I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

But now we BOTH have an extra night, $79 one way flights, and thanks to the SWA sale, LL has now changed her dates and we will finally have a DISmeet. :woohoo: Today was a good day...A very good day.:thumbsup2

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

My GPS has the british accent as well so I am cracking up over here with the thought of it saying, "Impossible!" :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

What a grand night that you had, I'm envious!

I hate those gps, ours is named Mandy. She & I are always fighting about which way to go.:confused3 Give me my trusty maps & I can navigate anywhere.

I had to laugh about Denny being lost in the parking lot. My DH can't get out of any parking lot. He drives me crazy when he is in spaced out mode. :headache:

Poor Cynthia - Bora Bora or Fiji! Tough life!

 it's more like tough fantasy life. The reality of it actually happening is relatively non-existent but oh is it fun to think about!

I really feel like I should finish this night so I can post my last day. I wanted to drag things out a bit longer, but I have to share my last day with Cynthia because I did something super, super cool at the WL. It was Disney magic at its best. Yes, I know that Cynthia is not leaving yet, but I will be leaving next weekend for a week in the Outer Bank and then Cynthia will be leaving. There is wireless at the OBX house, so I guess technically I could update on vacation - but will I?????? I just don't know!
Awww  I'm so excited to read about it! What a GREAT last night (hour) you had. I absolutely love the splash picture, that just sums it up right there, you can see what a blast you and Denny are having. Fun PP pics too!

As soon as we got to the car Chuck seemed anxious to get out of the parking lot. The only problem was he had no idea where he was going and the gps was giving him multiple false directions. He was half listening to the gps and half impatiently driving around in circles. Cathy and I didn't realize the fiasco that was unfolding in front of us. We were in the back seats enjoying our dole whips. After one particularly rough turn we both looked up to see what was going on. I could hear the gps giving a tirade of continuous directions in the background.

Finally, after chuck went around the same circle three or four times, still failing to find the exit, the gps blurted out "IMPOSSIBLE". Denny started to laugh, "Did she just say impossible?" We all realized at the same time that our gps, in her prim proper Mary Poppins accent, had indeed said "IMPOSSIBLE". OMG....talk about falling into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. We were all laughing so hard (and choking on Dole whip), that we couldn't even see straight. Finally sanity ruled and we turned the gps off and found the exit to the Poly parking lot. My stomach hurt most of the way back to the WL.

Next....a few photopass pictures and our last day! The infamous WL tour aka a date with Ranger Joe!

:rotfl2: that is one of the funniest stories ever!

What fun to ride all that in an hour!! I am hoping for our first ride ever on BTMRR this time next week!

That is so exciting. You are going to love it - especially in the dark! :cool1:

GPS!!!:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Ours is named Gypsy and she always says "recalculating!"
I hate that! But I swear I never bothered using it at WDW. We've always been able to just follow the signs.

I honestly have no idea why Denny brings the gps. Its so easy to find everything at Disney without it. I can see for traveling off site, but come on - I don't think we needed it to get from WL to the Poly. That's silly.

What fun to ride all that in an hour!! I am hoping for our first ride ever on BTMRR this time next week!

GPS!!!:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Love the Castle pics - you're right - you can never have too many. That b&w one is cool.

Thanks!

Love the pictures of the castle!! Very nice!!!

The GPS...IMPOSSIBLE...LOL LOL that is too funny!!

I don't think we will ever get her to say IMPOSSIBLE again! :rotfl2:

YAY for a dole whip!!! And laughter to end the evening!!!

Great photopass pics!!!!:thumbsup2

The dole whip was the perfect way to end the night. I completely forgot that they sold it at the Poly which made it an extra cool find!

What a very magical evening!!! Getting the four rides in, then strolling out, taking the slow route on the boat, soaking in the Poly - and getting the Dole Whips! Love it!!!

It was a really nice evening, especially that dole whip - super yummy! Plus I love the Poly, so every extra minute there was worth it!

The "Impossible!" comment made me laugh out loud!!! HILARIOUS!!!!! :lmao: I am certain there are only very, very people on this earth who have made their GPS say that!!! :rotfl: I can imagine the roar of laughter in the car! Perfect ending to a GREAT night.

We were roaring it! It was that kind of laughter that actually hurts your stomach because you just can't stop. It was so freak'in funny. A real life.....:rotfl2:

Love all of your PP pics......I can't wait to do mine next year. And your SPECTRO photos are great....blurry or not!!

Hey Dug - Thanks!

We did have a good time with the PP pictures. Chuck and Cathy weren't really into it, but now that they have the pictures I think they understand.

BTW - I stopped by your TR but I don't think I left a comment because the stupid work computer was acting up and the response froze. I promise to stop by again soon!

I think that everyone who has driven on WDW property at some point, gets turned around and does the Loop-de-Loop. It's a RIGHT OF PASSAGE!!! :rotfl:

I like that - a RIGHT OF PASSAGE! Well, we certainly got our right of passage because I don't think we could have done anymore loops. We kept passing the same people over and over again. They must have been thinking, "What the_______?"

What a fun update! 4 rides in an hour?! :woohoo: What a great way to end your last evening!

As for the gps :rotfl2:

Nice PP pics! You look like you all had a lot of fun!:goodvibes

We really got our ride on that night! It was so fun. I wished it was an EMH because I would have kept going!!!!!

The gps was crazy!

I'm glad you like the PP pics. I love the balloon pic! That was a fun shot!

Way to go on riding 4 times before closing! :woohoo: Love those two at night!!!

They ARE the best!!!!!! The best way to close out a night!

Were Denny and Chuck upset that you didn't bring THEM a dole whip??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Ummh - I don't know - it was hot out. It would have melted, right?

Another GREAT update. Loved the GPS story. :rotfl2: There have been a few times I have wanted to throw mine out the window. Unfortunately it is on my phone so that's not happening.

I hope you have a great time on your vacation. BUT, do you think you could finish your last day today so I can read it before I get to Disney.:) I know once I get there computer use will be minimal and will probably only include uploading pictures.

Okay Mary Ellen you are KILLING me with all of your pictures!!!! I love your "distance" shots and all of your pictures from LMA! They are awesome! :worship::worship::worship:
I really enjoyed walking around only taking random pictures with my iPhone but now I really want that camera again! I remember when we were both contemplating the Macbook/Cannon....you ended up with BOTH and I got the Mac! :rotfl2:

But remember, I bought a used Mac so I probably spent on both what you spent on the new Mac. And I completely understand why you chose the Mac over the camera. It's an amazing machine. I will definitely keep buying them.

As far as the camera. I am soooooooooo happy I got it. I have taken over 5000 pictures and I have had a blast with it.No regrets whatsoever. I still need to get better at night pictures and I want to add an external flash for taking night time soccer pictures.

:rotfl2: athe the pictures of Chuck and the Green Army Guy!! :rotfl2:

I'm so glad Chuck is the kind of person who has fun with that kind of stuff. Yet he wouldn't do any of the character pictures. No one would, so we skipped all the character meets.

Impossible?!!!!! That is just too funny!!!! :rotfl:

It WAS really funny! A first for sure!

Brian sounds like an ______. The first time I went I had intentions of buying anyways.....I drank so much Kool-Aid my eyes were purple :rotfl2: However, if I didn't have an accommodating guide I probably would have held off. He was good...I haven't heard from him since 2007 but I have only dreamed of adding on so far anyways ;) My use year is March too :goodvibes I would like to add on either at BC or AK. I am FOREVER borrowing points...if you ever need any tips there just let me know :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: Purple eyes! Yup - Been there!

I like the March use year, but I rarely see AK resales in March.

I am an expert at borrowing points. That's all I do. I will never have to worry about banking, that's for sure!

Happy to be all caught up....now I need to go look at those cameras again! :sad2:

Tracy

You will not regret it! You still have a little time before your October trip! ;)

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
:cool1: I am so excited that we will finally get to meet. For awhile it looked like it just wasn't going to happen!

My GPS has the british accent as well so I am cracking up over here with the thought of it saying, "Impossible!" :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

It was so funny! Probably funnier because of the accent!

What a grand night that you had, I'm envious!

It was a really fun night at MK. Riding splash and big thunder at night is one of my favorite ways to spend the evening.

:headache:

It is annoying when YOU know where you are going and the gps tries to correct you. I just say NAH NAH NAH NOT Listening! I agree with you about the maps. I think maps really help with the spatial relationship of your location. I love maps - I think they are really cool and I still use them.

We have been to the Poly parking lot many times, so I have NO idea what the problem was that evening! :confused3

 it's more like tough fantasy life. The reality of it actually happening is relatively non-existent but oh is it fun to think about!

I flew over Bora bora and Figi when we went to New Zealand back into 1992. Does that count? But we did spend a few nights in Tahiti and it was truly beautiful there.

Awww  I'm so excited to read about it! What a GREAT last night (hour) you had. I absolutely love the splash picture, that just sums it up right there, you can see what a blast you and Denny are having. Fun PP pics too!

We really did have a great evening. Especially in the back seat - I love that spot. You KNOW you aren't going to get wet so you can really sit back and enjoy!

:rotfl2: that is one of the funniest stories ever!

I wouldn't have believed a gps could say that if I hadn't heard it with my own ears. Crazy, funny!

Another GREAT update. Loved the GPS story. :rotfl2: There have been a few times I have wanted to throw mine out the window. Unfortunately it is on my phone so that's not happening.

Oh no....throwing your GPS out the window would be bad - VERY BAD!

I hope you have a great time on your vacation. BUT, do you think you could finish your last day today so I can read it before I get to Disney.:) I know once I get there computer use will be minimal and will probably only include uploading pictures.

You know I am really torn about that. It won't take me long to post on my last day so I am starting to wonder if I should save it and post on Tenn now. Then when I get back I can't post my last day and my final thoughts. I have to think about it some more. If I post my last day I am worried that no one will stick around for Tenn. But then there's always my final thoughts and my pretrip September plans. Decisions, Decisions. :confused3

When do you leave?

Ohhhh. That's a great plan. I forgot about the Tenn trip. Would love to read about that one too and see your wonderful pics.

We are already on the road. Left Dallas yesterday and made it to Jackson, MS. We are supposed to stop at the beach today outside Pensacola but I don't know with Bonnie blowing in. :confused3 Should only be higher winds but we will see how the day goes.

Once I realized how close you were to your tripn I clicked on your PTR. I am really bad at noticing those things. Anyway - your trip sounds like a lot of fun. I am watching Bonnie information on GMA. I hope you are able to hit the beach before she settles in. Happy Travels!

I promised a picture of my palm flower that I bought at the F&G festival. Here it is mixed in with my Walmart flowers.....

And with that I will take a break. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures but the windows on the car were really dirty and it was really, really hazy that day.

I didn't know "impossible" was in the GPS vocabulary. :lmao:

Sorry your DVC experience wasn't great. I actually liked my guide very much but since I knew I wanted BCV decided resale was better. I did buy from Timeshare Store and it was fine but somewhat underwhelming. As others said, I basically just stalked the updates and as soon as a 100 pt contract came out in the use year I wanted I jumped. First try Disney bought it back and then it was probably another ~8 months before another one came around and went through. Patience is key, unfortunately.

Hope you have a great time in the Outer Banks!! :)

Impossible was just too funny!! :rotfl2: On your trip south, when we're going that way, I always love seeing the Mormon Temple- at night it looks almost surreal....we call it OZ...:goodvibes

I like your flower!! Very pretty.

It was fun to take a drive with you, the toll way shot reminds me of the many views we had driving from Chicago to Minnesota a few times a year.

Your flower is gorgeous. And my favorite picture of your "road trip": the one that says Starbucks. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You've been a very busy updater while I was gone, Mary Ellen!

Brian should not be a DVC guide if he is going to act like that! I am shocked! I had to laugh about Chuck and his enjoyment of dealing with customer service. LOL!

Great fire shots! Charles wanted to see LMA! but the first showing on Thursday was at 1:30 -- that was during his naptime. ;)

Ah, Bo. (Not saying anything else about him right now.)

Beautiful photos from the Poly, my stomach is growling now over the thought of shrimp and Dole Whips, hurray for four rides in an hour, and I am dying lauging over the GPS saying, "Impossible."

Love the pictures of you holding the balloons!

The Susquehanna river runs right through my town.....I will send you a message in a bottle the next time you are going north :rotfl2:

Tracy

Thanks for sharing those pictures of your drive! I keep saying to Jasmine, one of these years I need to take all 5 weeks of my holidays together so we can drive....I would love to see the countryside, and we both love driving!
