I kept trying and finally got a tower room!

Maybe this isn't news to others, but the moral of the story is if you don't get exactly what you want, keep trying! I've been planning our December '07 trip for a while now and kept watching to see if there were any tower rooms at CR...nothing but garden wing...then two days ago there was only garden wing, garden view, so I figured I better just book it before there was NOTHING left...when I called, the computers were down, so I called back yesterday and there were either tower concierge or garden wing. I can't justify that level so I booked the wing and figured it was going to be fine.

When I got the confirmation they had spelled our last name wrong, and I ended up spending 25 minutes on hold while they changed it last night. Today I wanted to see if the name change had gone through and when I was looking around on-line, lo and behold there is NOW a tower view with MK view but no tower concierge. So I asked how it all works and she said that the cancelations get uploaded into the system over night, so there must have been a cancelation yesterday and it got into the system over night and now I have a tower room Yahoo...So yes, the moral of the story is try try again...and hopefully you'll find a cancellation has been made that you can scoop up!

Oh and I just checked online to see if the tower room showed up as available...but it's gone! I grabbed it just in time I guess.

congrats! i am trying to get us upgraded to a king room at POFQ, so it's good to know that someone got what they needed.

Same thing happened to us for President's Day last year...kept on trying and finally saw it pop up online. Called and grabbed it right away and never saw another one come up!

A few years ago, when I was making reservations, there was nothing available at ASMo on-line, but when I called Disney, there were rooms at ASMo. The cast member told me that there are a "few" rooms that don't show up on the internet, so that if too many persons are trying to book simultaneously on the internet they don't have a problem.
