We want to take DD on to WDW in early December. I keep delaying making the reservations. I'm so nervous about taking her on a plane for the first time, not being able to get our room right away so she can nap, etc etc.

I also keep thinking that this is probably going to be our last opportunity for a big vacation for a few years.. so.. maybe just DH and I should go. Really, who KNOWS when our next vacation alone will be.

But we really want to do something special with DD before we have another baby. (I'm due in early March)

:guilty:

.. booking a vacation shouldn't be this hard of a process. Also, by waiting like I am I'm afraid that we aren't going to be able to get what we want. I read a post on the resorts board about the first weekend in Dec. not having any AAA discounts and that it's already pretty booked! (which I find odd because it's value season, but ... ?!?!?!?)

Quit over thinking it and just do it!! :thumbsup2 The longer you wait the chances of getting your first choices (resort ect. will dewindle).

You'll have a blast and you know it!! I'll shower you with some pixie dust to help speed you up!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

The first time that I went to Disney world , i was like 7 years old. it was my first time on an airplane too. I remember that my Mom told me to take a nap. I was like " yeah right". maybe your dd will want to take a nap, but she might just be too excited. It is a good idea, i think to take just her and your dh before your next child. it is a great opportunity to spend quality time with her. i think you should go for it. GOOD LUCK!!!! :rotfl:

I took my dd for the first time when she was 14 months old. I had all the same fears. It was all wonderful. I really did not think she would get anything out of the trip but you could see she was so excited by everything.

Take a portable dvd player on the plane. I have never had a problem getting into my room right away.

OK in your siggy it says dd first trip to POR so I think you really want to go... Just do it!! Make that call and book your trip. You can always change it if you change your mind- but if it fills up you can't get what you want. BOOK IT!!!!

I say just do it. Your DD will only be this age once, and if you are having another baby in March this will be the last chance you have to spoil her with your attention before the new arrival. Carpe Diem.

I say Go, Go, Go and take your little girl. She will be facinated by the Christmas lights and since your preggo and can't get on the thrill rides anyway it would be a good time to take her. Have fun. I know you'll do the right thing and Go, Go, Go. :goodvibes

kids do adjust to the change :) just take breaks around nap time and your all be happy :)

December is an amazing time to be at disney!

Do It! Do It! you will all love the trip and have a great time :wizard:

I say go for it. We couldn't wait to indoctrinate our son, so he was only 5 months old when did a Disney cruise. Then last year December we did WDW, he was 17th months old and we are going again in September. Flying is our only option since we come from NYC, but it was fine. Always bought a seat so we could have his car seat, made it much easier. He had a blast last year and now knows all the characters. Tigger and Pooh are leading the pack this week. We stay onsite so we can go with the flow, we never went back to the room to nap, he would conk out in the stroller. We had no specific agenda, but it did help to have PS so we could work in a nice break, ate dinner early about 5:30 and usually back to the room by 8:00. Had one late nite, but it was great. Brought snacks and water to the park for him. I stressed about it too, but was so glad we did it. December is great, beautiful decorations, not crowded or hot. You should have a great time!
