I am not bashing it but it doesn't appear to be something I would be interested in playing.

Trust me.. You can't really get a feel for what toontown is without really buying it. It's LOTS of fun. Most players are very nice there too! And its fun to battle rofl
I am on toon town too, i like it

See, that's the thing. Why do all of these online games have to involve fighting and battling? There is already too much violence and hate in the world. I want games that are about fun and magic, not killing other people or robots or whatever.![]()
And that is my main problem with pay to play sites. People say they are fun. But you don't know unless you waste the money to do it.
Exactly. That's me too. Pirates is about as agressive as I want to me. And its still not my fave game.
On top of that, what exactly does Toontown have to do with Disney?
I want the Disney Magic.
Idk about you guys but the last thing I wanna be is a fairy. If I did I would buy myself some tights and a tutu. NO thanks.I just made a fairy on the Fairies website. I don't know if it's what was referred to as the new "fairy" online world or just a preliminary. She has clothes and a room with some furniture but very limited at this time. There is a directory of other fairies but I didn't see what, if any interaction, is possible. I'll keep an eye on the site in case they do more than just a preview site for the new fairy dvd.
Go figure. Disney creates a site like vmk, and loony toonville and closes VMK??? Yea makes sense to me. I have no desire to be any barnyard animal either.Well I decided to try it as well to see what they are wanting us to end up playing. Well that lasted 5 minutes because even if I wanted to play it, which is highly unlikely... I couldn't, it makes me seasick from the movement. Blahhhhhhh![]()
The real issue for me is that the other games are niche games in that they are geared to specific age groups and game styles. ToonTown looked fun from the preview but I think I prefer the Wii or PC games for that kind of fun.
VMK was unique in that, just like the real Disney parks, it enabled families to do something online together. Whatever special magic sets Disney World and Disneyland apart from other theme parks, the designers of VMK somehow captured the same kind and translated it into their online world.
The beauty of the VMK world, the game play, the camaraderie...somehow these other online communities (Disney and others) never quite capture. I will continue to hope that Disney higher ups reconsider. It is appalling to me that they spent money to acquire Club Penguin which, while cute, is nowhere near the caliber of VMK from either design or game play and are willing to let a magical online virtual version of their own flag ship parks disappear into cyber space.
Toontown is free to play and try...you can have a free membership but it limits you to one land but you can still do all the activities like trolly games, fishing and racing.
As for violence and fighting, you are getting rid of robots (Cogs) using cute things lke cream pies and squirting flowers.
The game does require some teamwork and working with others to get your tasks done.
The tasks are fairly simple to start off and can be done by pretty much anyone that is at reading level.
LOTS of adults play this game and we also have a forum similar to Dis.
It is alot of fun if you give it more than a 5 minute chance to look around go on the trolly and try a few races.
Of course nothing compares to a FREE VMK, toontown is my close second![]()
