I have finally gotten up the nerve to take some classes at my LSS in February. They are: Valentine Card Class, Deluxe Getting Started, Distressing Ink and Resist Techniques and Basic Grey. I am VERY excited and nervous at the same time. :)

Has anyone taking any classes at their LSS? What was your experience? I was waiting to see if a friend would take them with me but then went ahead and signed up anyhow.

I was seriously thinking of taking classes through our Community Ed program, but DH is taking 2 grad classes that conflict. I hate the way Penn State schedules! M/W for 2 months & then the next class is T/TH - or vice versa. I can never take anything because they always seem to conflict. :(

I'm really disappointed because it included eyelets & shaker boxes. Maybe I can talk DDIL into doing it with me? Hmmm....

Let us know how it goes!

Awesome Jill!!!!! You'll love it!!!!!!!!! If you are near an Archiver's, check out their classes too. I took a stamping one with them and it was great. We should try to get together sometime and scrap!!! I think we're only an hour away from each other. I think we should have a DISscrap Meet sometime somewhere, that would be fun!

Cruise04 - no Archivers near me. The LSS I'm taking classes at is in Grafton, MA - anywhere near you? I really like the owners - nice ladies.

Ok, my brain had gas or something. I was thinking you were in IL. BUT it would be fun to have a scrapbooking meet!!!!! :)

I hope you have a great time!

I have taken sb classes at my lss. I enjoyed the classes & learned some new ideas/techniques. Have fun!

Can you PM me a link to the store too

I love that paper!!!

Unfortunately, the web site doesn't have the class/workshop schedule updated - I got my information from the newsletter they mailed me.

I took the Valentine card making class today and it was a lot of fun! :) We were given the materials to make 5 cards. (I only got to finish 4 as I had to leave to catch my DD's bus) Lucy is a real nice teacher and you can stop and ask her anything. There were a total of 9 of us there and I didn't feel intimidated at all. I was nervous about doing something on my own but as far as I could tell, only two women who knew each other came together. I will be there every thursday morning this month and hopefully many more to come! :)
