I can't speak about Homewood Suites in Florida but we stay at one in New Hampshire fairly often and LOVE it! Whenever I travel from CT to NH with my son and my older uncle for family events we need a place to stay. We could just get one room, but it's a little awkward with my uncle and he likes to stay up all night. Plus, once we put ds to bed we just have to go to sleep in a regular room. So we used to get 2 rooms, at $99 a night each, no kitchen.
Then we found Homewood Suites and their 2 BR and we won't stay anywhere else now! We have been paying around $140 a night for the 2BR...so saving alot of money.
There are 2 completely separate bedrooms EACH with their own door, their own full bath and their own TV. Some units have 2 doubles in each bedroom, some have 1 king br and 1 2 doubles br. That's what we usually get. King for uncle, doubles for ds and I.
And then between the 2 bedrooms is a living room with sofa bed, 2 more 'living room' type chairs, a TV, a kitchen table and 4 chairs, and a small, but regular sized appliances, kitchen.
We love coming back in the evening with a bottle of wine and some leftovers from the party and being able to put ds to bed, close the door, and hang out. Even if he goes to bed I can stay up and watch TV without disturbing either of them.
And their breakfast is great. Make your own waffles, usually a meat (bacon, sausage), eggs, biscuits or english muffins or something to make an egg sandwich if you want, fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels and donuts. Coffee and juices. It's definitely a full meal!
Congrats on your good deal!
