I just rented a car through priceline...

I got a Mid-Sized for $17 after my $16 was rejected. I'm renting through National (which will be a first for me. I usually use Hertz). Has anyone rented a car through Priceline? Did you have any problems? I know it will be a Pontiac G6 (or similar). I'm really happy about that because I have a Grand Am that I love.

I pretty much always rent my car through PL and have never had a problem.

yep. just choose cars instead of hotels on the opening screen.

Have never tried priceline- Can you specify whether the pick-up is at the airport or not? I don't want to have to take a shuttle to get the car. I have been trying to get a decent rate for Sept. and so far not much luck.

I think you just get what you get as far as if it's in terminal or have to take a shuttle. That's why it's a bargain. I have never had a problem with renting a car through PL. I take a copy of all my paperwork siince your credit card is charged when you book. If you end up taking a shuttle just keep repeating, I'm saving $$$, I'm saving $$$, I'm saving $$$...

Well, when you set up your specifications, you have a choice to pick up at MCO or DTD. Most of the companies are at the airport however, there are about 4 that are nearby where you would have to take a shuttle. I wouldn't worry too much about the shuttle though. Just remember you are saving money. In my case, a Mid-Size through National is going for $42 right now. I got it for $17!

We have doen our rentals through Priceline with each of our last 3 trips, with no problems whatsoever. Like a previous poster said, bring copies of your paperwork. This time, we got a mini-van for 9 days for $22/day.
