I just played the rate game with sirius and

got our bill down to 98.45 for a yr!!!that includes a credit since I renewed early-ours doesn't end till Oct 1 our new rate was going to be 185!!!!yr

the first person I got was a CS rep who could only give me 132 for a yr for limited stations--theres really only a few stations we listen to anyways

so I told her that was still way to much and I was going to cancel--so she transferred me to the cancelling dept (probably just the person next to her)

and I told her what the first person said and that I would be cancelling so then she went and "talked" to her manager--why do I get the feeling they put you on hold and just sit there for awhile!!!

so she said since we're such a " valued customer" she was told she could offer us 98.32 with fees and taxes for the same service we have

that's cheaper then intro rate last yr after our 3 month trail when we bought our new car was done

cant figure this out but thanks to the posts I feel I won the "rate game"

I think I usually get 5 or 6 months for $20 or $25...my current period ends in about a month so it will be time to call again.

I keep doing the same deal, 5 months for $26 inc. tax and fees. I set a reminder in my iPhone to make sure not to miss it because they will auto renew at the higher if you don't call.

DH just played the game again yesterday. Two cars, five months (I think - might have been six) for about $60. They are sending a paper bill so we don't give them a credit card number. He also puts an alert on his phone to call on the last day of the plan.
