I just paid off my DVC mortgage!!!!!

When DH and I bought DVC last spring, our 'goal' was to pay it off by the time we took our first trip! Our trip first trip "Home" is one month away and I just called in my pay off this morning! I am SO excited! Now our DVC will only amount to our monthly fees of less than $50 (we own 150 points)!

I always said I would enjoy having DVC more once the loan was paid off! I am dancing today!!!!

2) You are free to buy MORE points with ANOTHER mortgage.

LOL! DH has already said no to more points. If we lived closer, it would be different, but we only see us getting WDW once a year (4 days at WDW and 3 days on the cruise). We have enough points for our WDW stay and we will pay cash for our cruise. So for now, we have enough!

But it would be nice to have enough points to live at WDW year round .

As noted above, the danger in paying off your mortgage is that you are goung to want to buy more points! We have purchased, and paid off, two contracts, and one add-on. We have perhaps another year on another add-on, but we decided last December to purchase a new contract for Christmas vacations. See what I mean?

Yes, it does feel great! It will be much more enjoyable now with just our monthly fees (which I will hardly notice since they are less than $50). And we have so many wonderful vacations ahead!!!!

I can't wait for our first trip home next month to BCVs! I can't imagine what it will 'feel' like to be able to walk over to Epcot from our resort. The only onsite places we have stayed are the All Star Music and camping at FW (in a tent). This is really a BIG step up for us!

When we bought, last year, I told DH that I have reached a point in my life where my accomadations matter to me as much as the destination. I don't want to be out at the parks all the time, I want a place to relax. This is going to be so great!
