I just need to vent..

We leave on Friday for Disney. My daughter has been sick for over a week but is now on meds and on the road to recovery. For the last several days I've had some sinus pressure. Well, as of today I really feel like I'm heading for a full blown sinus infection. I am NOT kidding when I say this happens EVERY time right before I leave for a trip. It's not enough that I just had major surgery I'm still recovering from but now I get to add this to it. Here I thought I'd get a break. Guess not. Now I'll have to go back to the Dr on Monday after just being there with my daughter on Thursday. GRRRRR!

Is your doc easy to work with? Did he know you were sick when you went in? Do you think if you gave him a call and told him you were worse he'd call in an antibiotic for you?

Yes, if it was on your disney trip, it would have been worst. but it's not it's BEFORe the trip

I called my Dr. He's not on this weekend but the one who is called me in some antibiotics. Thank God!!!!!!!! My hubby is getting it for me right now.

Hope you and DD feel better before then. Be sure that if you have a sinus infection, to take a decongestant prior to flying. My mom got the worst pain from the cabin pressure

We also leave on Friday and right now two of my dds are on the couch with low grade fevers and swollen glands. I'm on antibiotics for a kidney infection, and the med I was on beginning of the week attacked my red blood cells instead of the infection, so now I'm dealing with severe anemia as well. Slept for three hours this afternoon. I've not even started packing, nor have I done laundry for the week.

Never fails right before we leave someone is sick. Here's hoping the meds and pixie dust will get us both healthy and ready to go.

Get your DH to pick up some Mentholatum or Vicks Vaporub for you, too! Rub it right on your cheeks over your sinuses. It will help clear them out. The doctor recommended it for me when I was pg and couldn't take antibiotics, and I still do it.
