well even if we can't hear you scream, that little flame guy speaks volumes!!
i hope that it relieved your stress at least a little! so do you want to talk about it?

Oh dear, I have been there!!
Trust me I could have strangled someone during my planning, but am now glad I never did. With all the hassle's I had my day was PERFECT.

There are so many DFTW regulations, that made me want to just throw in the towel.
Is that why you want to scream???

When we started planning in the beginning of the year, we asked for a different location. Disney told us it wasn't available. Now with less than 6 months to go, they are giving us the option of moving to that location. It would be more expensive, and we would probably have to change our date from December to Jan or Feb... but it's what we want. OTOH, some of our guests have already booked their airfare and hotel, and are already making plans... and since we weren't planning on the extra expense, we started thinking about helping bring some of our friends who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it.

I feel selfish for wanting what we originally wanted, because I know it would disrupt the plans of people I love and care about, and have been wonderful enough to arrange their schedules to come down for our wedding a week before Christmas. I don't know how to handle the regret I know I will feel if we leave our plans as they are. I don't know how to be ok with that, be at peace with it. I don't want to wake up on our wedding day and think about what could have been! :sad1:

--janine: yes, their regulations have been some of our frustration.. The location thing makes me want to cry (again) I hate this position of having to choose. All the other problems we've had with them are just aggravating.. they are refuse to do a tasting session for CG "it's not us, it's CG", and they won't include the day of breakfast that I ended up having to arrange myself, in our minimum.

What location is it that you really wanted??

In DFTW defence i would like to say that when i tried to speak with CG about having my reception there, they were totally un co operative. I even rang them direct once and they could not be bothered to even answer a few simple questions! and i was told they wouldnt do a tastng session as you are not able to change the menu! Thats what put me off going with them in the first place!

I feel your fustration about the breakfast thing, but unfortuately they do say only things on the wedding day count towards the minimum!

heathrow42,
Question... how many friends have already nade their reservations? if it is just one or 2 people, it might not be too difficult on them. As far as the added cost goes... well, I might pair down what you are spending on helping guests to get there. You might also have your planner find a way to get CG into your minimum if you have to change the date.

Good luck,
:figment:

PS, my advice is to do the wedding the way you have been dreaming of. Your friends will understand...
