I just nearly knocked my poor kitty out with a giant chunk of cheese

Poor Kitty. She is fine and eating a little guilt tuna. Bought a 2lb. block of cheddar cheese and as I was putting back in the fridge I fumbled it and it fell right on her head. It WAS kind of her fault for being a little moocher and being under my feet whenever I'm in the kitchen though! Nothing like a 2lb block of cheese to the head to teach you that lesson.

Shortly after I brought my baby kitty Milton home I was making lunch. I was taking some Welsh Rabit out of the microwave and it slipped and splilled all over him! Thankfully he was very furry so I don't think the hot cheese made it to his skin.
I grabbed him up and ran him under the cold water trying to get all the chese off of him! It took some doing and he looked like a rat afterwards (plus he was pretty darn mad at me). He smelled like cheese for days after.
It was actually pretty funny after I realized he wasn't hurt! LOL

Yeah, I've heard that dairy is not such a good thing and now I know why!

I'm surprised that our kittens haven't had anything bad happen to them yet. They are always underfoot, which is bad enough. But then they dart in front of us.

See, now, when mine does this it ain't her that's getting hurt. She's done this to me twice on the stairs, and I've gone a-tumblin'. By the time I manage to sit up and check myself for broken bones, she's sitting across the room looking at me like I'm the idiot.

I have never retaliated by dropping cheese on her head though. A thought for next time...

So far I haven't tripped on my cats on the stairs. We always have so much crap, uh I mean stuff, sitting on the stairs that I'm used to taking that trek carefully. It's only a matter of time with all these animals, though.

What one of our kittens does, which drives me nuts (and it's a short trip...) is when I'm getting his food ready he climbs up my leg and onto my shoulder and then the counter. Or he lunges at my back and continues his climb to my shoulder. I really need to get it on video before I break him of that habit. Instead, I nervously pace the kitchen, moving all around so he doesn't have a chance to scale my like I'm a tree. Crazy cat!
