I am at the last 20 pages of a book I have been reading

I just loved this passage from A Most Uncommon Degree of Popularity by Kathleen Gilles Seidel
This blurb is about changes and leaving your comfort zone.

The problem with my lighthouse image was that the boats never left sight of the lighthouse; they weren't going anywhere. They were simply stuggling to make safe circles around the lighthouse. If I were to take my family's boat on a journey up the coast line, we would need different lighthouses.

That is a really nice passage. I have lately been noticing sayings like that that really make me "think".....I only get them from TV show though...

Anyway from Frasier (on lifetime last night...and I even wrote it down to remember):

"THE TINIEST DECISION COULD CHANGE ONES DESTINY"

another from that new show Windfall:

"IF YOU COULD LIVE YOUR WILDEST DREAM, WOULD I BE IN IT"

There was also one from that old show that was canceled (that I loved)...Good Morning Miami (I think that was the name of it)....and of course, I can't remember the saying....something about thinking of you or something an the person wrote it in a book.....I actually saved it on my other broken computer....so if anyone can remember it.....

I was given a journal years ago, but I don't journal.
So my girls and I decided that whenever we read something or heard something that 'struck' us (Deep, moving, or silly) we would write it in this journal.
Some of the things I have written are the funny things they have said or asked when they were little. When one of them was 4 we had a camp fire,. she saw the sparks floating up in the air and asked if that is were fireworks come from? AWW
It is a slow process,but it is nice to look back at.
Now that they are 14 and 19 I am the only one that writes in it. But I know I will have more to write.
I recommend everyone do this.
