I just have to share my happy dance

I hope you'll forgive me if I sound like I'm gloating but I just had to share this.

Last year I booked my first Disney cruise for Aug 16th 2003 (Magic Western) at a special AAA. I got a great rate on a Cat 6 along with the AAA perks and have been axniously planning since. The $ has already been saved and I'm just counting the days.

Well in January I became a part-time travel agent as a 2nd job and of course checked to see if I could do any better on the cruise but at that point the rates had actually gone up. So I just kept my AAA ressie and negotiated with them to match what would have been commission vs transferring it.

Well I just found out from my TA manager that DCL just announced travel agent specials for the time I'll be cruising. Now here's the happy dance I'm Saving $2000!!!!!
I do have to drop to a Cat. 9 guarantee but hey that would've been a very expensive veradah otherwise.

The best part is this is truly found cash because I already had the $ saved. (This should cover MANY spa treatments)

I can't believe it I'm still pinching myself!!!

How did you get to be a part time travel agent as a second job?

That would be somethin I would love to do. I always plan all of our vacations and have also done it for others due to my ability to find a good deal (takes a lot of time). It would be great to be paid for it!

Wow, $2,000 that's a lot of spa treatments, drinks, or jewelry on the islands. Or, better yet, deposit on the next cruise.

Well I just booked a 4 day pre Christmas weekend at WDW but still have money to spare!! I'm so excited, another cruise is definitely a possibility.
