Christmas sucks.

I don't mean the real meaning of Christmas, or family, or any of that. Just in general, this particular Christmas, for me, sucks.

Thank you for your attention. I feel much better now.

Festivus... a holiday for the rest of us

Ladybugsy, Christmas Day will mark my 7th week in the hospital. So this Christmas sucks for all of us too, if that makes you feel any better .

I think every one of us has had a year that felt like that. So sorry.

I was feeling down too. Think of something positive to help you through it. I am glad that the days will start to get longer.

awwww...I hope things improve for you.

And, Cinderella - that's a really long time to be in the hosp - I hope things start to look up for you soon too.

Yep. Sister's MIL is in the hospital dying of cancer right now. I mean I can handle that.

It is the crazy SIL who is threatening my sister on top of that which is makes it REALLY suck.

It is almost to the point where they are going to have to post a guard at the door of the MIL's room.:sad2:

:scared1: Oh my word...what is Ms. Crazy threatening to do?

agnes!

Harm my sister.

In a nutshell my sister has taken over doing the financial affairs of her MIL, which includes changing the beneficiary of the life insurance policy over to sister and BIL.

You can imagine that this does not go over well with someone in a psychotic state.

It is really a sad situation. They are trying to get MIL to live past Christmas and she might or might not. But SIL keep getting kicked out of the hospital for trying to harm her mother who is dying.

It is just so sick and sad.:sad2:

Thanks everyone. Sometimes it just helps to say it "out loud", you know?

Cinderella, I hope you are out of the hospital soon. Your Christmas definately is worse than mine. I'm grateful no one that I love is in the hospital this Christmas.

Mystery Machine, I feel your pain. My inlaws, who TOTALLY deserve it, just got a few hundred thousand dollars due to a VA claim, and I'm on my way up there to help set everything up for them. It's not going to be pretty when the rest of the "kids" find out.

I just can't get into the mood for Christmas this year. I put up a sad little Christmas tree, haven't plugged it in. My 12, 18 and 21 year old could care less...too busy with their own lives...just feeling a tad sorry for myself I guess.

Thanks for the shoulder :D

Funeral tomorrow for a 6wk old baby - beautiful little boy - thoughts and prayers are with his mom & dad for whom life and holidays will never be the same again :sad1::sad1::sad1:

Hope all of you that are unhappy/suffering/stressed this year can find that Christmas spirit somehow and have a wonderful holiday.

My son and I both have the flu, so I'm having to look a bit harder for the spirit right now, too.

You know what? Let it go.

We are doing low key Christmas and I have given myself permission for it.

As far as kids, I have the tree with lights (prelit tree) but no ornaments either. Kids say, OH, forget it. So, guess what? I am not putting them on. I have 2 dd's that are 19 and 14.

We are all worried about my sister and her DH and family. The stress of it makes you unable to "enjoy" or "want" to do do the usual holiday stuff. It is just unbelievable what is going on in that family. However the dying MIL brought this on herself. It is just so twisted.:sad2:

I am taking the dd's shopping today and tommorrow and then I am done.
