I have been back and forth on whether to write a pre-trip report, only because I am driving myself crazy trying to contain my excitement!:rolleyes1

I keep reading everyone’s pre-trip and trip reports and knew this is where I could go. No whether or not any one actually reads this, well that is another story, but at least it will make me feel better talking, well typing about it!

I will apologize now for any typos or things that just don't make sense, :confused3 I am very tired and should be in bed, however I always have to check the DIS for any new posts before I go to bed and find myself on here several hours later. So again I apologize for rambling I think I have gotten 3 hours of sleep in the past, umm, 2 days or so. Since I don't know how to post pictures on here, I apologize to those of you that just like to look and not read!:lmao:

Just a little background, I have been to WDW several times, the first was when I was 2, in 1973,and I think we camped than?? Yes now you know how old I am:eek: My parents took us again in 1985, after my grandmother passed away. My mom wanted to do something for us with the inheritance and knew my grandmother would have wanted to be there with us. We stayed at HoJo at Lake Buena Vista that year, when it ws still there, to me that was so neat, the open glass elevators and riding the buses to the parks and the different hotels, wow we were living it up! Let's just say as I got older and became an adult and mother, I never stayed off site again!

I didn't visit WDW again until quite a few years later. My oldest son went in 95 when I was pregnant with my daughter, my parents took him and I wish I could have enjoyed that with him. My first trip that I planned was in 99, my oldest was 9 and my daughter ws 4, we stayed at the WL, wow was she ever miserable this year! We drove down that year and visited my now ex-husbands family before heading to WDW. The next trip was in 2002, ASSports I now had a 2 year old DS, 7 year old DD and 12 year old DS. This year we planned a family vacation there was 13 of us and I did all the planning, this was still early in my Disney addiction. I was divorced at this time so my parents helped me out. After this year it went all down hill!:rotfl:

This is when I started to book a trip every year, so I will make this shorter than the previous.
2003, not sure why but I invited my ex-husband to join us:scared1: it ended up just be the younger 2 and us, again ASMovies.

2004, my first trip alone with the kids, just the 4 of us and we stayed at ASMovies

2005, Just the 4 of us again this trip and I worked harder this year so we moved up to a moderate, we stayed at POFQ this year and loved it. This was the year that I move up our trip from Oct to June. I was waiting on a job offer that came while we were at WDW. I was hired as a Police Officer and would be start the academy a few weeks after returning. I was so excited and we made the best and went all out on the remaining days.

2006, WHAT??? You don't want to go to WDW. Well my oldest almost 17 at this time decide he didn't want to go after everything was paid for!! So my mom who had never been on vacation with out my father before, except when he had to go to South America for seminary stepped up to fill his place. This is when I started to get more adventurous and made my trips longer, 10 days, my dad was so lonely. This year we stayed at CBR

2007, I needed to surprise my parents with a trip to WDW and repay them for everything they have done for me and for helping with the kids. So I talked them into going and only asked them to pay for their airline tickets which were relatively cheap through Air Tran. So this year during free dining, I think Our 3rd year for this now, we did a split stay, 3 nights at CSR and I wanted to take my parents to the place they always admired when my sister was the only one that could afford to stay there, and we stayed 6 nights at BC. This year it was all 6 of us and we had a great time. I had an illuminations cruise booked for us as a surprise since that is my fathers favorite to watch and it stormed that night, :sad2: All and all it was still wonderful and great to be able to do that for my parents.

This was also our first year to venture to the west coast we went to DL in June and had a wonderful time there, I told the kids that was it it was too expensive to fly to the west coast so enjoy the trip now!

2008 So I lied:rolleyes1 we again returned to DL in June, what can I say there are little things out there that keep calling my name! So we returned o WDW again for free dining, this year it was the kids and I again. We were booked for another split stay, starting at ASSports than moving to the BC. Well my DD decided she didn't want to miss school, so she came down on Thursday and stayed with us until Monday. Well a few weeks before the trip I received a call and we were picked for the year of a million dreams for an upgrade. We were move to the YC, so it made it easy for us to switch to the BC later in our trip.

After this trip I told the kids as much as I love WDW, let’s do something different next year and take a year off, I want to go on a cruise go to Europe and we some where warm when it is cold in PA.

By the way if you have read this far you must seriously be tired or extremely bored!:rotfl::worship:

So we booked a 15 day cruise for December 09/January 10, well that lasted long it ws almost paid off when Disney offered this 4/3 deal. Well how could I pass this offer up. So I booked it and figured we would still go on the cruise. So I booked ASSports to keep it cheaper, changed to POFQ, changed to CBR pirate room, changed to BWI, than to BWI CL, we have never stayed CL we have in DL, but not at WDW. Well than low and behold CR CL opened up! Even though I always wanted to stay at the Poly I never cared for CR. I am so excited now though I can not wait. So the great thing is we are CR CL and my daughter and I are afraid of heights!!!:scared1::rotfl2: So we were booked for June 9-17, yeah more than the 4/3 and late last week I got this wild idea that I needed to go on vacation sooner and added 2 more days. So we will be at CR from June 7-17 with a one day US in there, staying CL for the first time at WDW.

I know I didn't even hit on us or our schedule or ADR's and if you read this far you are a far better person than me! I am so sorry this is so long but it has been bottled up inside for so long and I needed to vent!!!

Ok real quick
Me - Katie 37, 38 later this year, shhhhhhh, Police officer and have worked very hard to take my children on vacation every year. With this job I don't get to spend as much time with them through the year as I would like so I do this for them because they want to go just as much as I do.

DD Miranda just turned 14 yesterday, she is so excited to be staying at the CR, I have turned her into a hotel snob I think, she is very picky about everything, however she is my adventurous rider and loves coaster like I do. Lucky for us her boyfriend leaves on a cruise the day before our vacation so no tears there! I have to watch her this year 2 years ago she tried to sleep walk onto the balcony at the BC and yelled at me in her sleep!:confused3

DS Noah 8 will be 9 in August, he realized 3 years ago that the characters are in his words "Geeks in costumes" What????He finally gave in to Expedition Everest last year and I couldn’t' get him off, he loves the mountains and is upset that Space MT will be closed when we are there. I have bribed, him into getting on Revenge of the Mummy at US. He is my baby boy and such a sweet heart, he remembers the strangest things but easily confuses DL and WDW sometimes. # years ago he got strep at WDW and last year well lets just say he got sick all over all of my shoes, EWWWW!

My oldest is not joining us this year he is 19 and will be 20 later this year I guess it isn't his thing any more, even last year he went off on his own most of the time.

Have I exceeded the word limit yet???

Ok I have bored you all enough, but I needed so much to get this all out I am so excited this year for whatever reason, we are going for 11 wonderful days an on one else but all of you understand the obsession! Oh did I mention we cancelled the cruise, yeah we are going to DL in November!:rolleyes1

I have to say that wasnt boring. It was informative. I so wish to be able to start taking my kids every year to wdw or at least every other year. Dh is not into as much as I am but he has never been either. But I think once he goes he will love it so much he will want to go every year. I think he is excited about the dxddp though. :lmao: men and their food. Knowing him he will say we can go under one condition, you have to get the dxddp. :rotfl2: well if thats what it takes sure. Can't wait to hear more. Fyi Im a night owl and work 3rd shift, what else is there to do this late at night.

Thank you for reading, your the only one!:rotfl: I would love to try the DxDDP some day in my life, right now with the kids I think that would be way too much food, maybe when we are all a little older, we can sit and enjoy some of th eplaces we would otherise not get to eat at. My son will try many things my duaghter no so much so with out simple options we would be out of luck so we still need those CS options, which I know you can still use on the DX, but why waste those credits on that!:confused3 I understand it is hard if your DH is not into WDW as much as you, my Ex was the same way I did mold him into wanting to go for the kids sake, but now I am so used to take them myself every year it just doesn't phase me. Thanks for reading again, I will post more later tonight!
