I was just sitting here DISing, and heard my 4 year olds bedroom door open. He walked in here to our office, turned around, and started walking out. I said "Aiden, what do you need?" He said "Nothing, just I like you and I love you."

I got up and followed him into his room, and he had laid back down and was fast asleep.

He got up just to tell me that.

That would send me over the edge and put tears in my eyes. Michael is the only one who can get to me like that. I asked him at the beginning of the school year if he wanted me to still keep putting love notes in his lunch bag. He said I want you to do it even when I'm in HS.

My DD4 will just come up to me out of the blue and tell me " I Love You" and give me a hug. I love this age!!

Awww... These are so sweet.

Albertan mom, your son's comment reminded me of
our trip to WDW in April.
We had just finished a birthday lunch at Crystal Palace
and were making our way to Main St.
The Deputy Mayor of WDW was singing and playing
the piano with the "real" piano player, with lots of people around.
We stopped to listen and the DM looked at my son's
birthday badge and invited him closer.
The DM made a big deal out of the birthday,
even getting everyone gathered around
to sing Happy Birthday to DS, which was great!
But, the sweetest thing happened next.
The DM asked DS how old he was (2),
and then asked, "Tell me young man, are you married?"
My DS glanced up at me and got this huge grin on his face
and just nodded up & down, up & down and wouldn't stop!
It was so cute, and SO funny!
The DM had to keep himself from laughing out loud,
saying, "Well, I guess that will make your life much easier!"
My DH was cracking up, and the people around
were laughing too - it was so sweet, and such a riot!
I'll never forget it, it's one of the best memories of our trip
