Ooohh!! Im so excited!! I might be selling my things through a little shop near my house!! Its a shop that specialized in chic, hip clothing and handmade accessories. They lady that owns it is so sweet. Her name is Andrea; Annie for short. She was very funny!
I was at a little shopping center that has some little shops like Panera, Marble Slab, plus some little gift shops, etc. Me and Mom had planned on eating dinner at Panera so we could get one of those pizza Crispani things so good by the way! Anyway I had brought my tackle box with some of my beading things in it so that I could show Mom some of my new stuff. It had a bunch of resin blobs, tons of finished phone charms, a couple of key chains, some polymer clay charms (including my entire finished Tropical Paradise Charm set, along with a finished flip-flop charm that I made the night before to go along with it!) along with some other odds and ends.
So, Mom got to the shopping center early and was looking around the shops. When I got there she was in the shop I might be selling at. I decided to just go ahead and carry my tackle box into the store so I wouldnt have to go back to my car before going into the Panera. So I got all my stuff and went into the shop. I was looking around and talking to Mom and Andrea we were talking about my curly/straight hair. Well, Andrea keeps looking at my tackle box and finally says, Um, so what is in your tackle box?
I was like, Do you really want to see?? At this point Im thinking, Goody! She is going to get to see all my finished stuff!
I told her, Its not fishing stuff!
Yeah, I kinda figured that! Everyone was laughing. It was so funny!
It was funny later, the way she said that she was kinda worried after I said it wasnt fishing stuff. She was wondering if I had body parts in there or something. She said she was thinking, Okay well her mom seemed normal. LOL!!
Anyhow So I sat my tackle box up on the counter and opened it
She went crazy for all of my creations!! She loved it all! She was asking me over and over to think about letting her sell some of it in her store!! She was asking for earrings made of the Tropical Paradise charms she said that a flower and the flamingo, or a flower and the pineapple, or a flower and the palm tree would be so cute.
Heres a pic of all the charms together:
Andrea told me that the girls who shop there would go crazy for the non-matching sets! And, she wants me to make a logo bracelet to sell in the shop with Hey Annie on it!!! It was all so exciting!
Andrea said, All this, and you have curly hair! LOL
I think Im definitely going to do it! This is what Ive always dreamed of!! Im sort of nervous though My creations are going to be displayed in a store for everyone to see! Eek! I cant believe it!
I have so much to do! Im going to order some free business cards to give her as well, so she can hand them out with my things when they sell. Plus Im going to work on a logo bracelet. Im going to turn those charms into earring sets. Ill probably work on some more charms for earrings as well. Plus Im going to make an inventory list of the things Im going to have in the store. I have to do some pricing So much to do!
Spring break is the week of March 19th, so I would like to have everything finished before then so I can take some things to her.
OMG, Im so excited! I cant believe it!
Can anyone think of anything else that I need to do? I feel like I have a million things to do!
I better get ready for work! I just wanted to share this with you guys since you're always so enthusiastic about my crafts!
