I called to make my Disney dining reservations. The automated part of the call made me laugh. It went:
if you are calling to make dining reservations, press #1 (that is why I called the DINING phone #)
if you are calling to make reservations for Victoria & Alberts, press #2; if not, press #1
if you are calling from the Orlando area or if you want to make reservations within the next 7 days, press #1; if not press #2
if you have been here before, press #1; if not press #2
if you have been here more than 4 times, press #1, if not press #2
Are they really that specialized? I half expected the next prompt to ask me my eye color and what color shirt I was wearing.
I keep imagining all the operators sitting in a big room with signs over their head identifying their specialty- reservation operator for people that live out of town, want to make their reservations beyond 7 days, and have been to Disney more than once, but less than 4 times.
I guess you had to be on the phone to laugh with me, but I thought it was funny.
