i just had the most awkward two hours of my life at a movie theatre...

i am not a twilight fan at all.
i read the book and thought it was lame.

but is it really that bad?
i expected it to be okay.

i'd never go see it.

but i figured the fans would love it.
no, it was great

the movie was okay.
but... most books that turn into movies arnt that great.
i just wished the cast was better.
bella... i just didnt see it in her... and jasper looked like he had a stick up his butt the whole movie.
and the kissing scene was extremly ackward...

It was hell of a lot funnier than the books were, even when it didn't mean to.
The Cullen family was interesting, and violence was surprisingly cringe-worthy.

It was pretty alright for someone who isn't a fan of the books.
IMO at least :)

Alright. My review on the movie that was supposedly based on one of my favorite books ever.

Ever since casting, I've HATED Robert Pattinson being cast as Edward. The movie did not disappoint my beliefs.

He played Edward with barely any emotion whatsoever. Instead of being torn between what was right and what was wrong, he just seemed to kind of yell at her a lot. I mean, when they're in the compost place (?), she trips and he's like, "COULD YOU AT LEAST LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING?" WTH. Edward would NEVER say anything rude like that to Bella. I dunno, I love the half of midnight sun that is available more than anything of the series. I LOVE Edward and who he is as a character. He's super funny and totally adorable with his weird insanity and obsessiveness, as well as his endearing and absolute love for Bella. NONE of that was portrayed in the movie.

Um...where did the love story go? The movie was like, a summary of the book. It never went into detail anywhere. Edward and Bella went from him HOLDING HIS NOSE when she came into the biology room (:rotfl: ) to climbing trees (which, you know, also doesn't happen). I know the book is also fast paced in terms of their love growing but there is no basis for the love in the movie. Where's their sarcastic, witty banter that they have throughout the first half of the book? It's the best part of the whole book series in my opinion, and they completely cut it out. The blood typing part? Her aversion to blood is not announced in twilight the movie, so if they do make a breaking dawn, her not needing blood as badly as they thought isn't going to make much sense.

It seemed super rushed, and everything was completely awkward and really badly written and acted.

I dunno, everybody hated the make out scene, but that and the part where edward wants to meet her dad and her dad gets the shotgun ready with one hand were my favorite parts. I was like, "WhOA" haha.

I loved Charlie. I loved Emmett.
I even loved when they went to La Push and Jacob came and his two friends and they looked like Hanson.

I thought the movie was funny when it really shouldn't have been.
It really made me mad after I saw the movie though.
I knew it was going to be horrible, but it still makes me upset that they couldn't have done the book any justice. Maybe they'll remake it like they did with hulk (unfortunately it's doing well in theaters so they probably won't see anything wrong with it and just make new moon just as badly).

I'm interested to see how they'll make shark boy look like a huge wereboy in New Moon, seeing as they've already got the green light for it.

I thought to myself on that friday that it might be a waste of money. Then I Never saw it.

Movies are only $6 for you...?
Here it's like $10.50.
But I'm going to see this when I get home for Thanksgiving break from college with my best friend.
Hopefully we'll like it...but I have doubts

i loved the movie too and i thought it definitely lived up to the book and lucky i had to pay $10.50 and i saw the movie twice lol

I thought it was really good. I didn't read any of the books and honestly I think reading them would just ruin the movies for me. I also thought that Robert Pattinson was amazing, he was really hot.

what happened to his hair it looks like a cat dies and gets glued on his head
I don't know
but that was not jasper
jasper is the one who has everyone's emotions
so shouldn't he be bursting with emotion?

ok, so out of about 2 and a half hours, there was what? 20 minutes of romance

the 1 kissing scene and then prom

there is sooooo ,much more to this story and I hate the bad rapp it gets from guys

Yeah, Twilight was pretty bad.
Although, I think Alice and Rosalie's actresses nailed their characters perfectly.
On another note, YOUR THEATER ONLY CHARGES 6 BUCKS? OUR'S IS 12!

I pretty much liked it. I did not like however that they didn't really develop Bella and Edward's love. Like thier intensity the passion they have for each other. I also didn't like the hoards of screaming girls..lol. I wanted to hear the movie!! Which is one of the reason I'm going to see it again. Other than that I loved it! I also loved Robert Pattinson and was surprised by how hot Emett (sp?) was!:lovestruc Oh and I paid $8.00 that the cost of a student ticket. I'd love to be able to pay $4 for a movie!

hmmmm well i thought it was okay. not great, they could have definately gone into more detail. like all the sudden she walks into the woods, he follows her, and then they're together!? it moved too fast in some parts and too slow in others. the whole, blue scenery thing made me sleepy, i saw it with my bf and almost fell asleep! i did like the "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb" part. i said the lines along with them...since i've read the book so many times lol. i think the next movies will be better. rosalie's character was good, so was emmet and alice's. charlie! i loved charlie. bella was okay, she seemed pretty scared most of the time. the funniest part, edward gagging when bella walks into science. i was cracking up. it wasnt really too bad a waste, but it could have been better
