I Just Got Stitch Hat For Water Slides..

The Thing Is, This Girl Had Not One, But Three Complete Stitch Sets !! She Said She Might Trade Me Pin And Box Later.

The other person just wanted slides more than the hat. As Mal said, what is one person's junk is another person's treasure. And that goes for all things.

who did I put down? I stated an honest opinion,. If people are going to come on here and brag about making a completely unfair trade, then they are asking for comments and I gave mine. The same reason you always feel a need to comment on every post of mine.

I just have to ask..did they even know how much the hat is worth? I think if they did not know and you still have it they will come looking for you in need of their hat back. >_< May even report you. I myself have a stitch hat and would never trade it for slides.
And I don't want to start a "squabble" but I believe everyone has a right to express their feelings toward the trade here so I agree with mtlhddoc2.

They could report, but it wont do any good. Ignorance is not an excuse for making a bad deal, and that person did make a bad deal. My big beef is how Dis people are always claiming how honest and forthwright they are, when in reality, they are just like everyone else. Thats not a put down, just calling it as I see it. If this person had known that they could have gotten 200 up or down slides for the hat, I bet they would have thought twice about the trade.

I am just really curious as to how the trade went down. Who offered what to who? If it went like this "I will offer you these EXTREMELY RARE waterslide pieces for your very common stitch hat" then the trade was, in effect, a scam. If it was the other way "I REALLY WANT those water slides! I will trade you this hat for them" then I dont feel as bad.

I agree with you.. there's no reason to brag about making a trada and taking advantage of someone who may/may not have had knowledge of what he/she is really trading.. if you made this trade and the other person accepted it.. fine but you don't need to brag about it with huge smilies all over the place

The way I see it is It is a game, and just like anyother "collectable" if you don't know it's value then you shouldn't be collecting it. If the person had a stitch hat and traded it for water slide parts (bad trade IMHO) then oh well her gain, I DO agree however that it sounded like she "almost" knew she was taking advantage of the situation and came to brag, but hey if I found a deal like that I might too! lol
Moral of the story is...As rare as some of this VMK stuff is set up to be it is still only color pixles on a screen! Have a great VMK day!

I just want to make sure the other person realized how rare this hat is. There are less hats then there are inferno. Inferno is not as "Rare" as everyone says, I see Tons of people a day with one or two, and only about 10-15 stitch hats a day of the same people.

It doesn't matter what something is worth in someone else's eyes.

A few months ago, after I received my black ears, I was offered inferno for them. I said no. To me, personally, my ears are worth more than inferno.
Now. How many of you here would have done that trade in my place??

And some of you are here basically saying that the OP cheated someone out of their hat. You don't know that. So please stop trying to spin it that way.

I just remembered a trade I was in like that. I traded away a Dead Man's Chest and... I think a Davy Jones organ for a FULL green superhero suit. At the time, though, I was making an honest trade. I had just started playing VMK and I didn't realize the rarity of the suit, so it seemed fair.

This girl came into a trade room and was looking for slide pieces ( she did not have the stitch hat on at the time ) I Said I Had Soem And Told her to follow em to my slide room. she was excited and asked to trade. she said she would give me stitch for three full windows of slide pieces. i told her how rare the hat was but she said that "she had no credits to buy slides, and she had these hats from her trip that she just got back from. I Asked her several times if she still wanted them, and she agreed, she has three sets of stitch anyway she said.

And Also, I Didn't Mean To brag if thats what it came off as.. Im Sorry All , And i apologize for whatever i may have done to offend you. i should have posted the original story at the first post as to clear up the contreversy that has followed. Ill Never Use Bragging smiles again...

Congratulations to you. Your trash was their treasure and vice versa. I feel bad that you had to even explain. If both parties are happy with the trade - that is all that matters. While others may have their opinion of the trade, this was between you and the other trader. Good for you and have fun trading.

Well that's exactly why I asked.
I still do feel almost like the other person was cheated. People have very long rare offers for them and I bet they would have added water slides to that deal. >_> They have been waiting for months.

Wow, this kid can't catch a break, can she? No one actually involved in the trade walked away unhappy, she explained it to those who thought she might be taking advantage, and yet still there are some who say she did wrong? Wow. Sounds a little to me like someone's a wee bit envious because they weren't as lucky.

Where is it any of our places to determine her trade was somehow unfair? I just started trading not too long ago, and I'm pretty sure I've had my clock cleaned value wise a couple of times. If I posted about them you'd all be telling me how I got "ripped off." Well, no. I traded extras of stuff I had or stuff I didn't really want, and got stuff I did want. Was my stuff more virtually "valuable?" Perhaps. Am I satisfied with what I have? Yep.

Leave this poor girl alone.
