I just got off the phone with my friend

And she just cancelled her trip to WDW. She was packing up the car and then changed all her plans. The worst part is that she was going down for her Aunt's Disney wedding, which of course got cancelled b/c of the hurricane. I'm glad shes not going for her safety and all, but her aunt is down there right now and now she's can't get married!! Her aunt was the one that told everyone not to come but I'm sure she has to be upset. I hope shes ok downthere, and everyone else too!!

(I hope this doesn't sound like i'm making light of an extremely awful situation if anyone takes it that way I am incredibly sorry)

It's so scary. I look at the satellite photos and I'm just speachless. I am not a religious person by any means, but you better bet I've been praying for all of those people in the path of that monster.

Edited to add: Was she getting married at WDW? I wonder how they would handle something like that. With so many weddings being held there I wonder how long she would have to wait to be rescheduled.

I couldn't even imagine what is going on down there. I really can't. I am happy my friend cancelled her trip - but like I said I just feel awful for her aunt, not just for her cancelled wedding and her being stuck there in the midst of it all. Its awful. I have another friend (of a friend) that is driving down there right now, thankfully he is going to the west coast but I'm sure he'll see some of it. I hate weather like this!

Heres hoping that Frances changes her mind and goes back out to sea!

all i know is that it is cancelled. my friend didn't get a rescheduled date, so she said she might be joining me on my trip in dec b/c of the airfare thats already paid for.

I hope they can have it soon though

The whole thing is just awful . This storm really has me spooked and I feel for all of those that are in Florida. I can't imagine having to cancel my wedding that I had dreamed about and planned for on top of it all. Prayers definitely being said for all of those who will be affected.
