I just got "carded" on a website

I just posted about a frozen pre-made drink I like on another thread and I went to see what else they had and the website "carded" me . I had to put in my date of birth before it would allow me to go any further on the website.

It doesn't make any sense, anyone can post any year they want the website wouldn't know they were lying.
