I just got back from seeing UP. We did not see it in 3d and it was very good!

I don't want to give anything away but it is funny and very well done.

There were even parts that made my eyes tear up.

If you get the chance go see it!

I was just listening to the NPR review and I knew that a teary eyed moment would be included in the film.

I definitely want to go see it. During the week if not on the weekend.

Thanks for the info. We'll definately be seeing it at some point.

I am planning on going to see this later today (it's my day off)
I do have a question though... To 3D or not to 3D?? I have never been a full length 3D movie before. I have glasses so I find wearing the 3D glasses is not too comfy. Do they give you the plastic ones like at Disney? Any advice would be great! Thanks

If it's like Bolt or Journey to the Center of the Earth, then the answer is yes. I also wear glasses and once I got the other set of glasses on, I forgot about them. It wasn't annoying or uncomfortable. You should do fine AND I highly recommend Disney's 3-D. It won't give you a headache and if you thought Philharmagic was cool. . . . :wizard:

:thumbsup2

I am so excited to see this tomorrow!

I was in the same to 3D or not to 3D boat. Thanks DIS friends! (irunnoft) I'm doing the 3D for sure!

Just got in from seeing UP with DW. 3D added a little something. It was really good.

Did anyone catch the reference to early Disney history? " Charles 'Muntz' " Clever.

Go see it. The animation is great in that they can convey human emotion without dialogue. Wow has technology come a long way. They did a great job with the Film.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

MORE THAN ONE teary-eyed moment!!

SEE IT IN 3D!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 i honestly will probably never see another movie in the theater again unless it is 3D or IMAX. :snooty:

also, at the very end, it says that the movie is dedicated to the REAL LIFE Carl & Ellie Frederickson, as they were the inspiration for adventure. Awwwwwww. :lovestruc

If your theater uses glasses similar to what the AMC theater at Pleasure Island uses, these are nothing like the cheap 3D glasses that are used in the parks. The glasses we had were more like real sunglasses but were designed to fit well over a pair of prescription glasses.

I got the Charles Muntz reference, you have to be a real Disney trivia expert
to get that one though.

I wonder what other "hidden" things are in it. I loved all the cool hidden references in Enchanted. And is John Ratzenburger in Up somewhere? He's been in every Pixar movie so far.

We saw it today too...We laughed, we cried...we LOVED it!!

At the end, the little boy next to us said "Wow, where did they the money to finance putting the house there?!"...everyone cracked up laughing!!

Guess we need to go see it again in 3D...ok, you don't have to tell me twice.

I completely agree This movie was one of my favorites. I saw all the previews that were posted on facebook and watched all the many sneak peaks too which IMO did not do this movie justice. it was fantastic!

I'm so excited to see this movie! Hope to see it this weekend while we are in Baltimore's inner Harbor.

DF and I just got back from seeing it in 3D and we loved it!! It was right up there with Toy Story and Finding Nemo for me. Liked it better than Wall-E even! We both did alot of laughing and crying! It was sooooo good! Definitely see it in 3-D if you have the opportunity. DF and I agreed that we would love the movie just as much even without the 3D but the 3D really immerses you.

I just took my son to see this in 3-D and we had to leave after the first 5 minutes because it made him sick. He was really bummed because just the few minutes we saw were really cute! When we left I asked the manager if there was a non 3-D version and he told me NO. Those of you who said you saw it without 3-D are you meaning that you just didn't wear the glasses? My son tried that but he still felt sick because it was fuzzy. I will say it was not a problem for me and my son is very prone to motion sickness.

I am SO going to have to see this in 3-D now. We thought it was very detailed and lush looking without it, so I can imagine how great it will be.

We just got back from seeing it and we did the 3d version. Don't expect things popping out off the screen but it was cool because of giving the film depth in the picture. The animation was simply amazing seems like every film pixar releases the animation gets better (pixar seems to be like a fine wine, they just get better with age) and the storyline was great. Had a couple of moments where we almost teared up. Had great humor and action.
