I Just Got a Pin Code Card for Most of 2010!!

I am so glad for you and SO BUMMED for ME!

I too just checked my email and there it was ... the Disney Destinations email.

I was OMGing too! WL August 2010 here we come!

Then I opened it ... and it was a PIN for $69 value resorts for stays beginning by November 24 2009!!!! :sad1::confused3:sad1::confused3

What a let down!

The trips I have saved on disneyworld.com are all for August 2010 ... I used the Chat option earlier tongiht and asked the CM about stuff for August 2010 ... and I get a PIN for November 2009 that expires in 4 days???!! I just don't get it. :sad2:

(Sorry, I don't mean to grump. A PIN is a PIN afterall, but this one is beyond useless. I don't even want to think what airfare would be this late in the game!)

Don't give up! I got that one first as well and about 3 weeks later came the 2010 one!

My DH tells me a short time ago that he received two emails from Disney Destinations last night. :scared1: He said he looked real fast but didn't see a code.:confused3 I signed up on the Disney web site under my DH's email address about 5 days ago and saved some quotes. Both of the emails had the same saved vacation quotes. Upon reading both, I scrolled down low and behold there it was.:cloud9: The emails had 2 different codes. I started screaming as they included most of 2010. Just called and extended our trip 2 more nights and paying less than it was for 5 nights.:cool1::banana::cool1: I am so excited I can't contain myself.:yay::dance3::yay::dance3:

To those who have not received a code yet, don't give up hope. Here's some pixiedust:

I haven't read this whole thread, but does anyone see an expiration date on their PIN? I can't find one on mine. That is almost too good to be true!

One more ??

What is the deposit? One night's worth?? I usually do packages, so I'm not as familiar with room-only ressies.

Can someone explain? What's a pin code card? I want one too! :)

It usually is in the form of an email or postcard by snail mail from Disney that gives your family some offer/discount that is not open, or not yet open, to the general public. It is random how they send them, but make sure you have an account on disneyworld.com
I have gotten a ton of them the past year, so chances are pretty good that you will get one eventually...however it may not be one you can use.:sad2:

I haven't received the PIN but I did ask that question. Someone on the board told me there wasn't an expiration date on the notice they received so they felt it was good anytime during 2010. I'm still hoping that I will get one.

I don't see an expiration on mine either.

If room only, one night's deposit. If you do a package $200.

^^^ There was no expiration date on ours. In other words, there isn't a deadline by which the PIN offer must be booked. Though the booking must be for the following dates:

"For stays most nights 1/3–1/6/10,
1/10–1/14/10, 1/18–2/11/10,
2/15–3/27/10, 4/11–7/1/10, 7/5–10/7/10, 10/11–11/23/10 and 11/28–12/16/10."

Everyone out there. Stay hopeful and keep trying! :wizard:

Well, I am giving up hope :confused3. We were at WDW this year and were going to wait again til 2011..............but if a great room deal (35-40%) came out for our timeframe, we would go in 2010. As I wait for this illusive discount, the airfare keeps rising and I am giving up hope. Looks like it will be Silver Dollar City for us in 2010.:rolleyes1

Pearlyswan and Cinderumbrella - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!:woohoo: I GOT THE CODE!!!

To all that are trying, I went on once a day cleared my cookies, took off my pop up block and deleted 2 old saved vacations and added 2 new ones!!!

Good luck to all!!!

I GOT IT!! I GOT IT!! I GOT IT!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

It actually came to my husbands email address, but we will take it!!

DON'T GIVE UP HOPE!!

I got a code too! We are quite excited and now are changing our minds to stay AKL vs ASSp!! :) Yahoo! Its a dream of mine and DS to stay there, I am so excited!! :cheer2: I have a question though for people who watch for promos and do dining (we've never done either) is this 40% a better deal then say free dining?

I got the pin today! I thought I wouldn't get it since I already have our trip booked, but I went to site and saved a vacation in May at POR. Sure enough, got an email about that saved offer and it had the pin! Thank you to all who posted tips, now we can stay at a deluxe resort for our honeymoon!

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hope this isn't too OT, but does anyone know how this compares to the 4/3 deal? We got that for our March trip, and it seems like the 4/3 is pretty close to 35-40% off? Just wondering if I should try for the PIN. Oh, and Congratulations to you all who got it!!!

... though, I have to admit that, in an act of desparation, I signed my mom up on the disney site and saved a trip. The PIN came to her email address ... they sent it twice actually. Anyhow, she'll be travelling with us, so it looks like we're good to go! (Now to decide where we're actually going to be staying and the specific dates we're goin!) :goodvibes:):cool1::dance3:

We just got the code too!! First one ever!! Now my big dilemma.. do the pin codes expire after a certain amount of time? I am waiting to see if certain family members are going before I decide to book anything and I would like to see how my finances are come February after tax refund etc. I'm hoping to book contemporary or CSR. (I would need a big rebate to book contemporary or a big fat raise!! haha but a girl can dream!!):rotfl:

I had gotten a pin for travel this fall but since I am a teacher I could not use it. But just for the heck of it, I called, gave them that pin number, explained why I could not use it and asked if there was any other pin attached to my name and there was :woohoo: I got 35% off a mod, 20% off value and 40% off deluxe. Since I love the French Quarter,, I booked it :cloud9:
