I Just Got a Pin Code Card for Most of 2010!!

I was napping on the couch this afternoon and my DH woke me up by reading me my Disney pin postcard out loud. That woke me up fast!!!

I took everyone's suggestions for getting a pin code and went on Disney's site and saved a few vacation quotes and voila.....a pin code card for most of 2010 a week later! It is the 30%/35%/40% off card and I was surprised to see how many dates were included, including October which is when we like to go.

Now I have to begin talking DH into another Disney trip.....

Me too!! Got it via email and almost missed it. The dates were in the fine print. So excited...maybe we can have more trips in 2010 than the one I already planned!!! Not sure how I became a lucky pin code person.

I just received mine today as well. The email was from disney destinations and the caption was "explore your disney resort picks" so I didn't think it was a pin until I scrolled down and read the "special resort offer". I also followed the advice here a week or two ago and BINGO! Thank you for all the DIS help!!

Yea!! Just checked my e-mail & got the code, too. Saved 3 vacations last few weeks. Used a different month for each trip: May, Sept & Nov. Good luck to all & thanks for the tips on how to get the code!!!

Forgot to add, I usually price deluxe resorts as that's where we stay. This time I priced All Star Movies, Port Orleans Riverside & Yacht Club. The e-mail came as "explore your resort XXX Family" & listed All Star Movies as the resort for us to "explore". Got 2 copies of the e-mail as a matter of fact. So for all still trying for the code, try different dates & resorts. It's what worked for me!

Top section of email includes information from one of the trips I saved. Hidden in the bottom corner is the "Special Resort Offer." Save 20% at Disney Value Resorts, 30% at Disney Moderate Resorts, or 40% at Disney Deluxe Resorts. Says it's for stays most nights 1/3-1/6/10, 1/10-1/14/10, 1/18-2/11/10, 2/15-3/27/10, 4/11-7/1/10, 7/5-10/7/10, 10/11-11/23/10 and 11/28-12/16/10.

I did what most people are suggesting. Ordered the planning DVD a couple of months ago. Saved multiple trips for late June (they happen to fit into the dates of the offer) a few weeks ago. Went in a few times and saved different resorts/dates. The email references a saved trip for the BCV (though I'm not sure we'll be staying there).

Now I just need to nail down the actual dates and resort(s) and see if I can apply the PIN. I'm traveling with a party of 10, so I'm hoping I can use the PIN for multiple rooms... I feel so lucky!

My postcard came in the mail and the dates are:1/3 - 1/06, 1/10 -1/14, 1/18 -2/11, 2/15 - 3/27, 4/11 - 7/1, 7/5 - 10/7, 10/11 - 11/23, 11/28 - 12/16

I put mine in about a week ago and then changed dates and resorts around for the next few days. I used October and late August to early September. When I was leaving the site, it asked me why I had not booked any of my saved vacations and I wrote the comment that I was waiting for specials for my times. Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I used the online chat with a rep and asked a few questions about a few of the resorts. I may have mentioned that we normally stay off site.

Just posting again after receiving a PIN and looking at my saved offers...
I currently have 5 saved offers. All for eligible dates in June. 3 at GF (a 7 night package, a 7 night room-only, and a 4 night room-only). 1 at CBR (a 7 night room-only). And 1 BC (a 4 night room-only). Strangely enough, my email references a BCV offer that isn't currently in my queue. Just trying to see if there are any other clues as to how/why I received a PIN, and hoping others will be as lucky...

Yep, that's the one I got this afternoon, too. I'd guess it arrived about 2 weeks after I plugged-in some dates while I was logged-in to their site (I don't believe I actually "saved" the vacation.)

Anyone know if there is an expiration date? I don't have one on my e-mail.

Got a PIN too, thanks to the suggestion of saving a few dates. Actually I just save one date about 1 or 2 weeks ago.

I already called and booked Contemp. The CM told me that for late June, Contemp is selling out fast, and even a few categories are sold out (however Poly and Wilderness are wide open as of now).

The discount is only for the room, and you can upgrade the tickets and DDP.

Ordered a dvd late last week. Updated my profile. Saved a few package offers - WL, OKW, WLV. Priced out a whole bunch more while logged in CR, BLT, Poly, CSR, ASMu, CB. Instructed BIL to do the same - don't know if he has yet.

The plan for our party of 8 is to go in August. We would need multiple rooms ... the 40% PIN would make it reasonable for us to try a monorail resort and/or concierge for the first time. Both of which would be nice perks to have since we'll be traveling with 3 little kids.
