We've stayed at almost every resort on property and I still go back to AS Mu because I love it so much!! It is a lot of fun and the rooms were refurbished not long ago. They have great activities for the kids and the food in the food court is pretty good too. It's just one of those places that makes me want to skip!! (And I'm 41!!!) That makes DS18 and DD17 want to hide, but DD's BFF thinks it's too funny!!! :lmao:

Congratulations!!!! You'll be just fine there;)

Thanks for this reassurance on ASMU...much earlier today...I appreciate it.

I'm hoping that we will actually be able to use it now. DH found out today that he is being laid off at the end of March, if not earlier, so paying for airfare, food and park tickets may not fit in the budget, even with the free room. I wish I could transfer it to someone else.

I meant that Pearl Harbor was in Hawaii...I should have been more careful on what Island I picked so that I was near more touristy stuff.

We love the idea of black sand beaches. I was raised near the ocean so this would be totally different. And the volcanoes sound really neat.

You could always extend your trip by a few days, or even do a daytrip to Oahu. I've seen inter-island flights for as low as $29 each way (rarely, but still ...).

Just wanted to say congrats to everyone that has gotten a trip. That is just amazing!!!

Oy vey! This promo is making me crazy!

I was on here yesterday morning, missed the earlier window and then sat for 4hrs hoping another would open. Had to leave for DSs IEP, couldn't believe I didn't miss an opportunity when I got back. Then I had to do school pick up and drive to gymnastics, didn't get home til 5pCST. Was even more amazed that I didn't miss the entire thing. I then proceeded to sit at my desk (in a very umcomfy wooden chair) for 8hrs straight!!!! DH was trying on his own computer for a while and sat with me watching for a while. He finally gave up and went to bed, I stayed up. I couldn't believe it when a little after 12aCST a video started after I put in my dates. I was so psyched!! Unfortunately the video froze up, tried another window froze again. Tried clicking on the Cocoa Beach banner, video froze. I ended up getting the video 4X but it froze every time! :sad1:

I missed both this morning because they were just too darn early after such a late night! I'm exhaused and drained from the adreneline surge last night. I vowed I was done with the whole shebang but I might give it a wing on Monday.

Congrats to everyone that did get a booking. Best of luck to the rest that are hoping for next week!

Does anybody know if these dates can be made for 2010 or do you have to make them for this year? Also, if I can get one of the Disney World Resorts. I noticed where the $1.00 doesn't include taxes and resort fees. Does anybody know the price per night for that?? Also can the dining be added if we call Disney World??

I have tried looking at 2010 with no luck, but YMMV. If you are charge $1 it seems thats it per night, we got the free stay and so far, nothing else has shown up. I dont think you can add disney dining? I think you have to be booked through disney or a disney travel agent, but I could be wrong bout that? :confused3

I came so close this morning on the second one around 6:46am or so. I got in and had picked a 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk (descrition had Spoodles). I was all the way to adding my CC when time ran out. I will try again on Monday. I hope I finally get it. I did see AH (since Savanah vies was offered). Good luck all!

Could you tell me what dates you were looking at? I'd like to find a date that gives me a good chance of getting AKL.

Thanks!

Tricia

I will have to open a new thread because I was thinking the same thing. I have SO many questions (how far is Oahu from the Big Island in TIME and is it worth it, etc.)

THANKS!

I booked for January 2010. I don't know if you can go further out than one year though. Just try the site now and see if you can do it, I guess.

Also, I think the resort fee thing is in there for hotels that have resort fees. I know the Swan & Dolphin do that, as well as charge for parking.

I've entered my email for the "hint" but so far haven't gotten it. Anybody else had this expereince? Or will it come out closer to Monday?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but this thread is way too long to read all the way through. Is there anyway to tell where the hotel is located? We like to stay at one of the hotels that's directly acrossed the street from DL, so we can walk back and forth since we usually go back for our daughters nap. The prices look very reasonable without being $1, I saw a couple for $50/night which is a great deal to me.

It took a couple of days to get my email after I signed up. You'll probably get it by Sunday.

sandgrace - check the descriptions. Google the description and sometimes it will come up. If there is a listing for a restaurant on-site, figure out which area hotel it is, etc. You can also look at the map at the bottom of the description. Go to the map, click the eye on the left side. Then click on the satellite view. It will show you the actual hotel and you may be able to figure it out if you know what the ones in that area look like. Good luck!
