O.K. It wasn't that I was trying to SQUEEZE as many people in as possible, it was a MS mistake. I had made the reservation for 4 people, and it came with 6!!!! A confirmed reservation with 6 people in a one bedroom, can you believe that one!!! I called MS and had them update my ressie, so I wouldn't have a problem checking in, but isn't that weird that they system let this ressie go through????

Just a typo!! Given the situation on this site some people will now think this is a open season on allowing 6 people to stay in a one bedroom. 4 people are the max for a one bedroom not 6 like the typo says.

I agree it's just a typo, but you'd think that the ressie wouldn't have been confirmed with that many people on the ressie. I just think it's weird and shows a lack on control on the DVC computers. I also don't want this to open up an occupancy debate.

Also, let's say you have 4 in a studio or 1 bdrm, plus have family staying in another room and you want them to have an emergency key to your room. The WDW computer system would consider that "another person" since it has to make an extra key card - at least that what they had to do for us - so the computer system allows "extras" in cyberspace - doesn't mean it would be "allowed" in real space/time.

When we bought our guide actually said we could do five in a room as we have three children. When they get older we definitely will do a 2BR as they will need more space.

They will tell you anything you want to hear to get a sale. Read your literature.

Sorry, occupancy limits discussion is not allowed here per the Webmasters of the DIS. The issue can be discussed on our Debate Board, however.
