Well, I was on the waiting list for Feb BCV but the offer for SSR was now just too good to pass up.

I have 2 APs $800 savings(approx)
I cancelled my cash ressie for sept ($600 savings)
Will get $135 disney dollars from my disney visa

No closing costs, no waiting, will get a nice backpack and litho, can make ressies tomorrow.
Feb use year means only 4 months pro rated dues.

All this considered it came to about $80 per point. close to resale with closing without the hassle and all the points are loaded!!

SSR is sounding better all the time:Pinkbounc :sunny:

Congratulations and welcome home. Sounds like you got a great deal. Enjoy those AP's.

Didn't you need to purchase a minimum add on to get the bennies?? I had talked to our rep yesterday.....

Just curious :)

Hello: Stichu2, As Professor Higgins said," I think she's got it!" I agree, it sometimes doesn't makes sense to buy a resale.

That is a good deal!!

I called my guide today! We were still on the list for VWL, but I didnt want to be too heavily invested in DVCI so I was already in the process of adding on more points at SSR. Then they announced the 2 AP's and that is definitely the clincher.

So these are regular or PAP's?

The minimum add-on to get the AP's is 130 points. We were looking at 110 so we will definitely go for it!

We added 150 pts, but the minimum was indeed 130 pts.

My guide just said , Ill order you up 2 annual passes, so I highly doubt they are premium annual passes, but wouldnt it be great if they were.

With no current ap discounts,(meaning no discount to buy the annual pass like the disney club last year) next year I was going to start buying hoppers and conserving my park visits, but I guess we have another year of ap,s to look forward to.

thanks for all the good wishes.

There is also an option of a week with II as a bonus.

So my guide was telling me that if I want to I can keep the AP's till we are ready to use them so I can hold onto them for 3 years if I wish then activate them. Does anyone know if this is true because if it is that would be great.

It is absolutely true. We were told this at SSR on Wed by someone highup in the DVC org.

Congrats!!! When I told DH about this deal, we just added on BWV through DVC, he said, "Sounds GREAT!!, too bad we wanted BWV!" It is an excellent incentive, and I think it will do exactly what DVC wanted, get more members to buy into SSR and not go the resale route.

Maybe when they see how excited folks get about the AP's, then maybe they will start making some other AP offers.

We had already signed our SSR add-on paperwork and sent it back when this offer came out. I called the very next day and asked if we could be considered for the free AP's. If not, we still had 8 days in which we could have cancelled our contract and started over. But our guide said no problem, the passes are on their way out to us! That was a nice bonus.

Congratulations on your SSR deal. I too, hope that Disney gets the hint about AP's that all of the members adding on can show them::yes::

Thanks, Lisa:sunny:

I just love a good deal! Sort of makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over!

Congrats, and welcome home!

Talked to our guide on Sunday, and he said that when you go to activate the passes, you can upgrade to PAP by simply paying the difference!!

:D

This promotion is only for current DVC members who add on at least 130 points at SSR.
