Normally I say words I have no/little idea what they actually mean. Yes, I know it's a bad habit but it's nice to try and confuse people with what I am saying..

Looked up "Parsec" on wikipedia, which I thought meant something small or smallish. Turns out it's a lot bigger than I thought it was! It turns out to be 19,173,511,600,000 miles. Now that's a lot! Looks like I need to always have a dictionary with me...

The most famous use of the word "parsec" is surely in Star Wars where Han Solo is talking to ObiWanKenobi about the Millenium Falcon.

Here, Solo states that the MF is so fast, it made the Kessel Run in "less than twelve parsecs". - This is, of course, nonsensical. [A parsec being a measure of disance, not time]. One can only assume that George Lucas made a goof, in that he heard the word parsec somewhere and thought it sounded like a cool measurement of time.

But, hay-ho, why let facts get in the way of good dialogue... :thumbsup2
