Literally cried.

The author talks about "Why We Go" in Chapter 12. I could relate to every word he said. Talking about leaving WDW and planning to go back and why we all (who love it so) go back again and again. It felt good to read and relate to someone who shares my addiction.

Each Mousejunkie who contributes to the book gives their reasons for returning. I could closely relate to most of them. Esp. Mousejunkies Jenna, Walt, J, and Randy.

It is amazing the bond that Disney lovers have. I am glad to know people cry when they arrive and cry when they leave. I am glad others are thankful to Walt Disney for pursuing his dream. Sounds like there'll be a line in heaven to get in to thank him for our special place!

I think when the magic of Disney grabs a hold of you and you really experience it, it may have something with Walt Disney's presence that must stronger be there because of "unfinisihed business" when he died. It is like God allows him to enjoy us enjoying his dream.

And that makes me well-up and cry again.

Thanks Bill Burke and all the Mousejunkies for a wonderful, wonderful book. I borrowed mine from the library but I'm going to get my own copy. You all did an excellent job and stole my heart!

Now, I want to read it. :)

Thanks for sharing

It's funny I saw this thread tonight...today while I was browsing the shelves in Barnes & Noble I came across the book on the shelves. I'd never heard of it. It sounds really good! I'll have to go back & get it soon. Thanks!

Let me just say that the author, Bill Burke is a DISer.

Y'all won't be disappointed. It is like a really good trip report. My favorite WDW book yet. Hands down. (I wonder if he'll ever write another?)

Ok now I'm worried that I won't get back to Barnes & Noble in time. When I was there today, there was only 1 copy! I do plan to get it before we leave next week. We're driving 14 hours, so I'll have plenty of time to read thru!

It is a quick read. I took way too much time reading it but it is an easy read. It is like the guy is talking to you. Since you understand where he is coming from, you relate to the info and how it is said so you don't read and go, "HUH?" and reread. Sometimes I did reread because I just had to read the wonderful words again, lol.

I just told DH that I finsihed the book and cried through the final chapter and I said, "I'm not alone in how I love WDW." And he said, "No, honey, you're not alone. There's a bunch of people on the DIS just like ya." :lmao:

I just started reading it for the second time :thumbsup2

I looked at this book the other day at Barnes & Noble and had seen the previous threads about it. I think I'm going to have to buy it, and also get a copy for my Mom.

The only book that has ever made me cry (besides John chapter 17) was a Disney-related book. When I read the chapter about Walt's death and various people's reactions, I cried myself to sleep http://www.amazon.com/How-Be-Like-Walt-Capturing/dp/0757302319. I never understood crying over a book until then.

KristaTX,

I cry easily but not usually when reading words. There is a connection my brain makes easier seeing pictures than comprehending words. I was pretty surprised at my reaction the Chapter 12 of this book. But the whole book was easy to read for me because I could "see the movie" in my head because of going to WDW and experiencing the things the Mousejunkies were discussing. So, when they were talking about leaving the most magical place on earth and why they all return there, I could *see* it, relate to it, etc.

I'm positive everyone doesn't share this same reaction to the book or to WDW. I'm justing sharing my own experience.

I'm #10 in line to receive this book at paperbackswap.com, but I may have to buy it before then.

Absolutely!:)
Oh, and I will definitely look for this book! It will probably cause me to pounce on the next "special offer" they put out or send me, though. Pray for a pin code!:rotfl2:

......(I wonder if he'll ever write another?)
Bill told me he will be writing another, and hoping it will be published. :thumbsup2

 Yay! Good for him.

You are one to be scratching your chin, mister. Talk about adults fallin' for the Mouse!! :rotfl: You're the leader of that group, Captain!

Wait til you read this book. You aren't gonna believe it.

Just bought it this afternoon thanks to reading this thread yesterday. Only read 40 pages so far but so far, so good.

Buckalew, you're making me cry just reading this thread! And I think I've exposed myself as a big crybaby enough for one year! Thank you so much for your kind words. After Bill told us Mousejunkies was going to be published, one of the things I was most looking forward to was how our fellow DIS-ers would react to the book. I have to admit, I was also a bit nervous! The DIS is a pretty formidable bunch. It may not be where my love of WDW started, but it's where my skills as a Mousejunkie were honed. I'm so happy that so many DIS-ers have read and enjoyed the book.

Great book! Read it twice...Can't wait for the second installment!
