I just feel terrible about how many times I have switched ADR's around!

It's very embarrassing! I try not to have them look up my phone # so they don't see all my changes! I am in charge of a GG with four rooms of people and it has been tough trying to make sure everyone will be pleased and that we will be in the right park on the right night to dine at a particular place. My latest excuse to change things up was that I decided Sci-Fi was a poor use of dining credits so we will just pay for burgers and shakes O.O.P.. That gave me an extra night of unused dining credits which meant I had to knock of another one dining credit spot to trade for a signature meal. There was a lot of shuffling there because I made an ADR for AP, but DH and DS said they don't like AP. So, shuffling a bit more--we ended up with Jiko. DH loves it and I think I will have a better experience this time...

Anyone else do this??????

I'm another one who has called several times to make changes! So far, they have never said anything to me about it so I don't feel too bad. I think they would understand.

I think it's much better to switch. That's what those operators are there for! I put the dining number on my cell phone so I can cancel and/or make new ones (if I'm lucky) depending on how our day is going.

You are definitely not the only one!

This is another reason I'm surprised Disney starts ADRs at 180 days. Way too much can, and does, change in 6 months. It is very challenging to say the least!

Yep! Too much time to rethink things! Maybe that's why they've decided to go back to a 90 day ADR window!!!

I'm going through the same thing right now. I've had all ressies taken care of since my 180 day mark. Just last night DD & DH were talking and decided they want to do Cirque du Soleil instead of MNSSHP! I had to flip flop two days (Cirque doesn't show on Sunday's) which screwed my whole trip up with other times not being available and what not. :scared1: I pitty the CM that takes my call in the AM! I think I have it figured out...IF the times are available! Keeping my fingers crossed!:rolleyes1

don't worry i am a ADR switcher too-- actually i was sitting here this morning thinking about changing a couple more-- i am changing Raglan Road on Sept 5th at 9:00pm, and LTT on Sept 13th at 8:30pm-- if anyone is intetested let me know:) I keep reading all these excellent reviews on places on the boards and keep switching my ADRS!! but thats what the disboards are for right?:rotfl:

I wish I could switch my ADRs around more. We are going during free dining and I was able to reschedule Narcosees but Boma is totally booked every time that I call to ask.

Hi:wave2: I'm a chronic switcher!

I finally have them settled for our September trip, but for a while, it was a bit crazy! My Friends and DH laughed at me all the time. I just couldn't make up my mind!! I sometimes felt stupid, like when I made an ADR one day, and then called to cancel it the next....that made me feel dumb, but after sleeping on it, I realized I didn't want it after all!

So I've already talked with 4 different CMs this morning! :lmao: Each time I get a different one, thank God!!! I am usually so organized, but then I keep looking at my days and realize there's something missing! I ask after every reservation I make if there's an availability at 1900 PF for between 5-6:30...no luck yet! I'll just try a few more times before we go (I'm sure I'll find some more changes to be made):rotfl2: ....I have 3 months, hopefully some cancellations will happen and we'll be able to slip in.... Isn't it amazing how everything is filled so soon?!

DON'T feel badly, or embarassed, or awkward, or anything less than absolutely right! :)

Now, granted, this year I have not called Disney three times a week since April, to make changes to my dining reservations (I'm working on being more decisive ;)) but in previous years? Sometimes I would be calling every day for a month. I've had CMs laugh (nicely) over all the cancellations and changes that come up on the screen for me. I've commented on it myself and had some say, "Oh, no, this is normal" - to which I'd respond, "No, scroll further down the page" :teeth: NOT because I've ever seen Disney's reservation computers or program, but because that's been mentioned by other CMs.

Ok, this really does make me feel better! So do the rest of you! The one consolation for my guilt is that I have been to the world so very many times and I really do keep my final ADR's and have spent a TON of $$ over the years!

Don't feel bad. It's not that your doing it on purpose. It's your vacation and you need to make sure your doing what works for you. After all your paying for it. Ejoy yorself & have a magaical trip!

You are NOT the only one who does this :)

I called once and booked LTT, Kona, Grand Floridian Cafe, Marrakesh, Teppan Edo, 1900 PF, Castle Breakfast, Cali Grill and Chef Mickey Breakfast.

Called again to drop Grand Floridian Cafe and add WCC.

Then I called to drop Cali Grill and add Narcoossees.

Fourth call to add a Wishes Cruise and Afternoon Tea.

And last night I changed my mind about changing my mind, so I called and cancelled Narcoossees and we're going to Cali Grill.

That makes 5 calls for dining alone...
let's not talk about how many times I have called including ordering a cake, (well, 2 cakes) and trying to get an appointment for BBB.

If they track who calls they must think I'm NUTS :)

Hi Belle!:wave2: Planning a GG for four rooms is reason enough to make changes in my opinion. It has to be quite a challenge!

Happy planning and I hope you enjoy Jiko this time. We had a fantastic dinner there in May. Guess you won't be going to Tutto?;)

Oh, my! As a 'newbie' here, I'm so happy to see this thread! Although my cruising started years ago - it was long before it was this hard to get a dining reservation. We booked our trip in April and I just had no clue about ADR's at all! When I started to surf the internet looking for information, I was shocked!

Then frustrated when I called and it seemed like we'd get nothing decent. :(

We arrive 9-13-08. We have:

Crystal Palace at 8:20 9-14
Hoop Dee Doo Review at 9: 30 on 9-14

Ohana at 7:20 9-15
Akershus - Dining with the Princesses at 7:30 9-15

The Wave at 8:40 9-16
50's Prime Time Cafe at 3:35 9-16
Chef Mickey at 9:10 9-16

1900 Park Fare at 11:10 9-17
Rainforest Cafe at 4:15 9-17

Kona Cafe at 8:30 9-18

I changed these around 3 times already in a week....

So...experts? How did I do? Is this 'too much'? We're on the Land and Sea so we didn't get free dining and we didn't do the dining package. There are 5 of us - me, my husband, my daughter, her husband and my six year old granddaughter.

I too feel bad when calling and changing my ADRs, but its so hard when you have to get your whole family to agree on where to eat and then you call with your list and they tell you only two out of the six are available.....so do you keep them on the line and run up your phone or do you say thank you, I will have to see what else we can do and call you back? I really am not enjoying doing the ADR and probably will have my head examined next time I see the FD offer, but they offer, we accepted and now we have to play the ADR game!!! :rotfl:
