I just don't like the Disney channel anymore

I hate what they have been doing to the Disney channel, and have for awhile. But at halloween they used to air the halloween special with the talking mirror. It had all of the old disney cartoons, like Huey, Duey and Louie tricking Donald, and the one where Mickey, Donald and Goofy are ghost busters(my favorite).
They'd also air longer appropriat old movies. The same thing for the other holidays like Christmas. I used to love this channel and all of the true disney stuff they showed, but no more.

I think they want people to buy and watch House of Villians instead this year.

I have to agree the Disney Channel really went down the toilet. Of course, if you're a 13 year old girl, like DD, you love it. Give them more Lizzie McGuire and Proud Family, Boy Meets World and Jett Jackson - they are in TV heaven. Me, I don't think I'll ever watch it again after they yanked Vault Disney. Especially after they banished it to the wee hours of the morning, and THEN yanked it. I guess the adults who foot the bill for all those WDW trips don't really count anymore. Maybe I should ask my DD to put the next trip on her credit card? Oh, that's right, she DOESN'T HAVE ANY MONEY. Did you hear that Mr. Roy Disney???

I have to agree, my 11 year old never gets tired of watching Lizzy McGuire, Boy Meets World, Sister Sister, Smart Guy, Proud Family and on and on. I must admit I love Even Stevens and Sister Sister and Eric on Boy Meets World so I watch too. Even though there are tons of repeats he still loves watching.

the other thing that frustrates me is that they show the same disney channel movies over and over and over and over and over. With all the old and new things they have you would think they could offer more variety in a month.

I don't like it either, but you can be sure they are trying to operate the channel for maximum profitability. They may draw a larger, albeit younger, audience which will generate more revenue. I'd like a retro Disney channel that would cater only to adults...they can do Vault Disney all day long.

Well, they don't make profit by people watching, but by people spending bucks. 11yo girls don't have much money. They need to appeal to both the kids and the parents. I just wish they'd be more diverse.

I have to admit that DH and I watch Lizzie McGuire, Boy Meets World, and Even Stevens. I also watch all of the cheesey movies that they make. But if you don't like that kind of stuff, I can easily see why you don't like it anymore.

I have not been happy with the cartoons on Disney for quite some time now. I don't like the Teamo Supremo or Weekenders or Pepper Ann. I don't let my girls watch them very often if at all. Makes me mad and sad at the same time.

I am also tied of the new format. Why do they have the same shows on late at night? I enjoyed Vault Disney or at least a Disney movie on during later hours. I do not undrestand why they have the same sitcoms running over and over all day and night

I just watched the Disney Channel the other night when Beetlejuice was on. It was the first and probably last time I'll watch it since they've taken off Vault Disney
