I just booked a Wilderness Lodge reservation (main tower of the Lodge, not CC or BV) for this November, and am baffled as I'm now finding out it is not open.

Can someone tell me where we might be staying or what will happen to this reservation?

Nope. The booking was for

Wilderness Lodge
Nature View- Bunk Bed

The Disneyworld site describes "Nature View - Bunk Bed" rooms at Wilderness Lodge as: "Views of Landscape, Trees, or Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge" (emphasis added). I suspect you're booked at Copper Creek.

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/wilderness-lodge-resort/rates-rooms/

I read that as views OF Landscape, Trees, or Copper Creek Villas & Cabins ...

The res is confirmed in my email; I guess I'll reach out to Disney and see what they say?

Let us know what they tell you.

Did you book via a reseller? Because WL got rid of the bunk bed rooms...

Did you book it on DisneyWorld.com?

Len Testa mentioned on his podcast that one of his bloggers booked WL for Thanksgiving on Hotwire as well.

Wowza. Yeah, that's a WL resort room. I would reach out to whomever you booked it through and try to get it straightened out. There is no announced opening date for WL, as of yet. Let us know how you make out!

Definitely was NOT booked through the Disney World site.

Yes, correct! I booked through Priceline.

I contacted Priceline, who contacted Disney, who both confirmed the reservation at Wilderness Lodge (not CCV or BV) for Nov 18th.
Disney did find the reservation in their system, but informed us that they will not be re-opening The Lodge until after December 31st, 2021.

So there we have it!

Thanks!

So, now what? Did they offer you a room elsewhere with price protection, or are they (or you) simply going to cancel the reservation?

They refunded in full and directed me to the website for more deals :p

Hopefully this is a typo & you meant December 31, 2020. I hope they aren’t already planning to keep it closed all next year???

At this time, there is no planned re-opening date for WL, so I'm not surprised they said 12/31/2021. Of course that could change, but right now it is not slated for re-opening.

Yep, I know there is no reopening date. So far, the statements have all been “there is no reopening date”. Saying that is different than definitely stating we will not be opening for another 13 months. Just wondering if the CM really made that statement.

"Until after December 31, 2021" was the date I was given by Disney.

Maybe this is a placeholder date until they figure out more info?

Thanks. Will be interesting to see if others start getting told that too.
