Ok so I did it! I bit the bullet, and went for it... I mean I really decided to go for it, CHAAAAAAARGE IT!

Yes I am happy looking forward to going on this trip. So I ahve a few questions and hope some of you can assist. Here goes:

1. What is the name of the hotel by the port, where I can stay the night before the trip, then leave my car parked there while Im cruising?

2. I just booked it about 1 hour ago, and waiting to get some info, is there anything else anyone may suggest I do? Or do I sit and wait like a good boy? :teeth:

3. Anything Im missing here?????

1. I believe you are thinking about the Raddison, but there are a variety of other possibilities. Check out Dave's website at www.dcltribute.com for more info on hotel options.

2. If you haven't already, check out Barb's site at www.castawayclub.com ... lots of great info there.

And you may want to get a hold of the Passporter Guide to Disney Cruise Line ... it is a great book filled with lots of useful info.

Congrats! And planning is half the fun!

Once you get all your specifics [hotel, air, car service, etc.], you need to look into Travel Insurance. I went w/ Travelex.com for $135 for all 3 of us! Whatever you do, don't buy the Disney ins., it doesn't cover much at all & it's expensive.

If you want to compare prices, go to www.InsureMyTrip.com, put in your specifics & a list of companies will come up. I'm very happy w/ Travelex's service.

Do you know your room # yet? Is DW excited?

We have stayed at the Radisson twice now..we love it.

We try to check in early, the day before the cruise, as the pool area is beautiful and there is live music, and you can visit with all the other cruisers..from the other ships that afternoon.

Also..plan on having at least one meal at grills..we always have lunch and dinner the day before, then we go back for breakfast the next morning before we head to the port to board the ship.
Yes the food is that good, and the menu has so much on it.
There is a coupon for 10% off on their website also..I think it is visitgrills.com. It is very close to the radisson, easy to find..also...you can see the magic from the restaurant.

:bounce: CONGRATS , BigBaby !! You're in for the time of your life !! We always stay at the Radisson the night before. Grills is a great place to eat dinner. We usually go across the street to McD for a quick BKF...too excited for a big BKF ! :-) !!

I suggest buying the Passporter Guide to DCL. The new addition has just come out. Let us know if you have any questions !! That's what we're all here for !:thewave:

Thanks Scappy520 Yes DW is excited The little one well he seen the video, and he has a clue but I think once we get there his eyes will open wide :earseek:

I did get my room # which im not pleased with at the moment 2624, and I kinda knew this was going to happen, as it always does to me! But I figure I go with a Cat 9 for the $$. I stayed in a cabin almost in the same location as this one on another line. It did not seem that loud but none the less I wanted somewhere mid-ship. Im going to call allseas and see if they can get a better cabin for me. If this does not work, I may upgrade myself to avoid getting stuck here in the rear.

My DW wanted a Varandah but I thought with my DS is was not a good idea, now Im trying to find some picts, to see if maybe a Nav one will do. Either way Im glad I did it. I wait to the end to do things so this time Im glad I booked it and now Ill try to get things in order. Wish me luck.

Sept cant come any faster  I want to go now
