Hello! I just booked today AsMu for Thanksgiving and during the booking the cm somehow charged my card the deposit twice. She laughing said "Oh sorry, when I modified your billing address it charged you 200.00 twice." She stated that she took care of it, but now it is on my credit card twice and is showing as 2 payments on my trip on the Disney Website. Will this correct itself in a few days or should it be corrected immediately? Has anyone else had this happen? I don't want my reservation messed up from the start! She was very polite though, but still she shouldn't have laughed when she messed up.

it should be okay in a few days... apparently the 'refunds' take longer to post to your cc than the charges do...

I had something like that happen to me once. And I called guest services to let them know that I was not happy. But they did take care of it and within a few days the money was put back on the card.

A couple of years ago, I had the same thing happen. I booked the CBR directly through WDW using my AAA and Disney Visa. The confirmation looked fine when I rec'd it a couple days later. When I got my Disney Visa bill a couple of weeks later though, there were 4 separate $200 charges listed for WDW on the same date at almost the same time. I called WDW, they apologized and corrected it and I rec'd email and regular mail confirmation of same within a couple of days. Even though were we still about 4 months out from our trip, I was worried that something screwy would happen and that all 4 confirmations would be deleted, or something similar, etc., and the entire trip canceled, but everything went smoothly. I also checked my next Disney Visa bill to make sure there were 3 separate $200 credits and there were.

I guess my main concern is not the $200, it is that I am afraid that it will somehow mess up my reservation. I seem to be having bad luck with things like this lately. I would hate for them to refund all of it or something like that. My trip is not until Nov. though, so I have plenty of time to fix it if it gets messed up. Thanks for all of you help! You are all great as usual!

This same thing happened to us last week. I booked two rooms and they charged us 3 $200 deposits (2 to our room one to my parent's room)--I didn't know it until I saw it online. DH wanted to leave it alone--figured it'd be less to pay later, but the next day I looked at my itinerary online and it was credited back. We didn't even have to call.
