I Joined Weight Watchers Last Night

Your goal is to lose 10% of your current weight. I'm hoping the embarrassment of getting weighed in will help me!

That's great Rosie. I've lost 17 pounds so far on weight watchers and have many more to go. I think its a great program. I'm doing the online version.
 

I've been doing WW since 12/3/01 and have lost 57.4 pounds. I'm 5'10" and 39 years old. I have started exercising and loving it. I have done 3 5K Run/Walks.

At our center, you go into a little cubicle to weigh in and it's not embarrassing at all. All WW employees are members who have lost weight with WW. They have to maintain in a certain range to stay working there. They always seem to have encouraging things to say.

It's almost getting funny. The new people scowl at me. When they find out about the 50+ pounds, they don't believe it!
 
I like what WW does for you, get tyou back to eating smart foods. Keep us posted.
 
RosieRosie, you can do it. You started by joining, I joined 6 weeks ago and lost 6 pounds, well it was 6 1/2 pounds but at weigh in today I was up a 1/2 a pound, I know it is cause it is my time of the month coming up so that didn't and is not going to dicourage me. Good luck, it is a great feeling once you start seeing the weight come off, you can do it. :D

Good for you!!! I do WW also. I have lost 8.8 pounds, and I have 17.2 until my goal weight. :)
 
Good luck. Wish I could join in these success stories. I lost 10 pounds and just stopped, so after our WDW trip I stopped going and wasting my $12 per week.

Good luck. I'm currently trying it on my own. But now that the weather is getting colder it's starting to get hard to run for excercise (my lungs don't take kindly to cold air)

Just waiting till I can get to a treadmill or indoor track because I can feel my body creeping back up to it's original shape.
 
Ok here are some things I like to have. I aways buy the low-fat bread (1pt), spray butter (0 pts), 94% fatfree popcorn (2pts), Skinny cows (2pts), Scwanns fudgie bars( fatfree) (1pt) and I like the sugarfree jam (0 pts). I hope this helps. Good Luck:D
 
Congratulations - You've done the hardest part! My first night I came home and cried - I just felt so OVERWHELMED! But luckily I have a wonderful DH who cooks for me. He's changed his way of cooking completely - he lost 20 lbs without really trying - just eating better! Anyway - a year and a 1/2 later I still feel great. I'd like to lose another 20 - 30 lbs - but I'm in no hurry!

Go to the WW message boards - there's a lot of good ideas and support there.
