I joined a soccer team!!!!

As part of my challenge in getting physically fit, I joined a Women's soccer team last night!!! It is a group of friends!! We begin NEXT week and will play other women teams from the area. We play on Friday nights!!

I am SCARED! I haven't exercised strenously for a LONG time!! We have enough girls on our team so that we can substitute often and everyone is excited (me too!!).It should be fun and I will keep everyone posted as to how we do.

Thanks for all the POSITIVE replies!! I plan to go out this weekend and buy some shin guards and do a search online to refresh my memory about the rules for soccer!!!

The women I am playing with are so much fun!! We haven't got a name yet but I am sure that is in the making as I type!!

You are something else, Rosemary. I am totally in awe of you. You joined a soccer team? WOW!

I don't do sports well. Seriously, I tend to injure myself. Honest, remind me to tell you about my body bowling incident someday. Who knew that bowling on a league would result in a chest wall contusion and land me on muscle relaxants and a heating pad for 6 days? Trust me, I'm just lucky nothing was permanently damaged.

I'm really proud of you for doing this and a little envious too. <b>Good for you!!!!</b>

That definitely sounds like a lot of fun. My friend belongs to one and she loves the excercise she gets from it.
