We spent the weekend at the BWV. There was someone in a villa just down the hall who seemed to be screaming expletives (including regular use of the "F-Bomb") at the other occupants of the villa every single time we walked by. He was in a fifth floor villa near the grand villas. (In the 504X range overlooking the pool.) I hope he's ashamed of himself, his behaviour was very offensive. :sad2:

he is probably proud of himself - got his family to do what HE wanted.

really, really dislike people like him. try my best to avoid contact with them.

Must have been the same jerk I was in line behind a few years ago checking into OKW - I know I sound snobbing but I hoped at the time he was a relative or renter and not an owner. Very embarassing.
:headache:

It's not a private club, anyone with enough downpayment money can buy into DVC.
The shame of it is.....pay all that money and fail to enjoy the experience of Disney by fully appreciating the place for family entertainment which Walt developed and understood was so important.

I don't care if he was an owner or not.

I hope he doesn't qualify as a human being.

Spruce is right - there isn't a morals or ethics check to get in. There are probably plenty of owners that swear at their children, and yes, Virginia, you can have a bad day at Disney World (ask me about the morning my son refused to do his homework - we don't ask for much from our kids to pull them from school and go to WDW - we do expect them to do homework and keep a journal. I didn't swear, my husband didn't yell, but he almost spent the day in the room.).

God must love idiots, he made so many of them. The experience I had a few years back was at check in when an idiot decided that he would scream at the top of his lungs (including profanities) at the check in CM, demanding to see a manager. The apparent problem: it was 2:30 in the afternoon and his room wasn't ready yet. When every thing settled and he left, I ended up with the same check in CM, who was obviously still shaken. I looked at her and said, "Whatever you do, give me that guy's room."

Unfortunately, people don't change that much when they go on vacation...and a lot of times what little change there is, is not for the better. I'm sure this guy is a barrel of laughs in everyday life, and he's no different at WDW. He just has a bigger audience.

OTOH, the good thing about lowlifes is that they remain lowlifes forever. So when we go back home, he goes back home to the pathetic existence his behavior earned him. It's enough to make you swear -- it really is!

Maybe this guy is sick and on medication that makes him cranky.. I know when I was on chemo I was very hard to be around and did and said things I would not otherwise do. Doctor eventually put me on some anti-nasty pills and I got much better. This may very well not be the case and he's a total jerk but let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

It might be one of the guys I work with that adjective is a particular favorite :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: . They're great guys though. So it's something most of us have just grown to overlook.

Sorry, no one should have to overlook behavior like that. Inappropriate. And I wouldn't consider them so great if they spoke like that in my presence.

Frankly, if this guy could be heard in the hallway it probably would have been best to report it to management. I don't know about Florida's laws, but in Virginia the law says:

"If any person profanely curses or swears in public, he shall be deemed guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor."

Imagine how many children walked by this guy's room and heard him spewing vulgar words.

It shouldn't be tolerated.

It was heard in the hallway--but it sounded like he was right next to us. I wouldn't have posted about it, except we heard it four times in three days. It wasn't an isolated incident of a frustrated parent, this guy was just going on and on every time we walked by--we could hear him starting about five doors down, and for the next five doors, which is a long stretch of hallway. If we had the villa next to him we would have complained for sure.

I don't personally have a problem hearing that type of language, but it's highly inappropriate to be yelling four letter words over and over when you're at WDW and you know that there are a lot of kids around.

I'm hoping that he's not an owner and he booked through CRO and will find a more appropriate place for his mouth to vacation next year. :sad2:

I have 3 older brothers so stuff like this doesn't phase me much. I could bring it up with HR and I would if they were jerks but they're not. They're great guys who would do anything for you. They just speak in a colorful way. Now if they used that language in front of my child that would be a whole other story:rotfl: .

I feel for the poor family. I could not imagine having to live in the environment. It is emotional abuse. I have seen famililies lose it at Disney, but everyday? This means it is a way of life for this poor family.

We were on a cruise, you know how thin the walls are. Well, we over heard a huge temper fit next door. We knew the family, it really put us in a uncomfortable situation. My son and husband starting horsing around, just to let him know that we could hear him. It became real quite. Nothing was ever said about him, but he did bring up us! We just said they we were playing around and left it at that.
