I hope DH doesn't MURDER me!!!

He never even wanted to go to Orlando this year. We couldn't agree on a vacation this year...we wanted to go to Hawaii or Alaska and really couldn't afford it until next fall. So, I slyly booked the "free" dining promo and kind of pushed it on him as "it's such a good deal we can't pass it up." So he begrudgingly agreed to go to WDW AGAIN, and said that we were NOT going back for a long, long time. He agreed to 5 nights, and has kind of warmed up to the idea of going, but is not ecstatic like I am. He infinitely prefers US/IOA to WDW. I offered to book the whole 5 nights at US/IOA, but he said, "No, the free dining is a good deal. We'll just save money and go to WDW."

Fast forward to yesterday: I changed our plane tickets to come home one day later, I dropped one day from the WDW package and booked two nights at Royal Pacific Resort, bought us both AP's to Universal, and am NOT telling him until the middle of our trip! Our anniversary is that Wednesday, and I'm going to surprise him as part of his present....we check into RPR on Thursday!

So...if you hear of either a man having a stroke at Wolfgang Puck's that night, or else a woman being stabbed with a chopstick, that will probably be us! Seriously....I think he'll be tickled pink, I just hope I can keep the secret that long!!! :teeth:

Very very cool. I'm sure he will be estatic. He's a luck guy to have such a thoughtful wife. Good Luck keeping the secret.

I am also going through having to bite my tongue. I am going in 11 days and my daughter has no clue. She thinks we are doing a weekend trip to Pennsylvania and also she keeps on saying is that she wishes she would be going to Disney.

We are going to tell her that morning. She is going to freak out.

Good Luck with your secret and wish me luck with mine.

That is awesome! She'll be SO excited! My parents weren't much for surprise trips...my mom is a first class, Type A worrier/planner, so we always knew about WDW MONTHS in advance. :teeth:

My only problem is that I know we're going out this weekend...dinner, Tunica, then to Beale St. I'm sure that along the course of the evening that Hurricanes from Pat O'Briens or 40 oz. beer from Raiford's Hollywood Disco will be consumed, and BLOOP, the secret will burst forth. That is so classic Misty...grinning from ear to ear saying "I've got a secret, neener neener neener!" and then blurting it out because I'm so pleased with myself. :rotfl:

I think the surprise sounds wonderful!!! Very thoughtful!

You made me laugh - I also managed to increase our upcoming trip by about two days. DH loves WDW more than I do even, but he wasn't so sure about the extra vaca days since we have another trip coming up.

Good luck keeping the secret. We're surprising DS with a birthday trip and I keep wanting to ask him questions about where he'd like to go/what he'd like to do, etc. Thank goodness I can wonk about the plans with DH!

GOOD LUCK!!

Sounds like a great plan! Have a wonderful trip and good luck with the surprise! :sunny:
