We just booked our DING fare for December!!! I am sooo excited!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :rotfl: :cool1:  :Pinkbounc

Are you flying out of Manchester? I just about fell off my chair when I saw the Dec. flight that we needed was $45. YAY!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

me too! we're going to chicago at the end of october - when I originally bought the tix, they were $120.90 each, now I'm down to $97.90 each! So I have $46 towards another trip to Orlando which I'm hoping to use in January for a christmas present to dh to go to Universal! YIPPY!

We are flying out of Manchester- we're actually closer to Providence (and closer to Logan), but Manchester has the 8 pm flight so we don't have to leave work early!! That, and parking is cheaper ;)

tkldisney-
Have you seen the Southwest airlines commercials on TV, like the one with the guy jumping over cubicles in an office, or where the woman drops the wedding cake? Southwest has fare sales, you just need to download ding to your computer, and the sales go directly to your computer's desktop, with the lovely "ding" noise!!

I got 2 one way for 107.90 total! My return date didn't have any good times available, guess I will have to use one of my reward tickets.

I got a ding fare of $28 each way!! Mine is from Raleigh to Orlando. After fees and taxes it comes to $74 round trip. We got 8 tickets for $599!!! I was so happy to get that fare. Congrats to you guys for your deals too!!! :flower: :dog2: :flower:

You can ck it out from another thread that I posted, but i got ding tonight. Phila to Mco .. 44 bucks each way from oct 6 to jan 6.. going in dec for less then 100 bucks rd trip .. amazing.. :bounce:

Blessedby3 - great rate.

I have been waiting for a DING out of Raleigh for December. I was on-line last night, but did not get the DING! Every since I installed Norton Firewall on my new laptop, I have not been getting DINGs. Is there something I need to do to allow them to come across the firewall?

Does SW repeat DING fares? I really would like to get one for December.

Laura

do the DING fares ever appear for Friday/Saturday flights? I assumed they would only be for weekday flights but now found out we can only leave on a Fri or Sat...

Me too. I got my December tickets for $106.00 round trip, unbelievable.

The Ding fares do have weekend availability sometimes; I think you just have to hit it right to get what you want.

if you book a DING fare and then later that same flight gets a lower DING fare, can you get a refund for the difference? the flight we want is currently at a ding fare that is about $30 more than we budgeted for. however we had waited out some other flights hoping they would go on sale and they sold out, so we are afraid of this happening again. if we buy these tickets now through DING and in two months they are cheaper, can we get the difference back? :confused3

You don't actually get a refund. You get a credit for the difference that must be used within 1 year of the date that you booked the flight.

For example...if you book today...then in 2 months the price goes down and you get a credit....you must use that credit by February 15, 2007 since that is your original booking day.

You can also "sell" the credit to someone. If you don't fly that often....you can give the credit to someone and let them pay you the cash. I sold a $95 credit last year to someone for $75....just because I knew I wouldn't be flying before the deadline.

wow, the credit is transferable?? that is great news - how do you go about giving it to another person? Thanks!

How did you get flights for *DECEMBER*??? I've been watching Dings and haven't found anything from Chicago to Orlando at all. I thought they're only booking through June??

The credit is tied to that confirmation number...so, make sure to hold on to your confirmation number. When you book on Southwest and get to the payment section, you will notice you can "Apply Ticketless Travel Funds". This is where you would apply the funds. If you give your confirmation number to someone else, they can apply the funds. You may also need the first and last name....but, if it's someone close to you....you probably won't mind giving that information anyway.

I actually sold mine using the DIS Auction last year. You can also sell them on eBay.
