I called a travel agent friend of mine to discuss a 7 day later this fall and she said she heard of a diversion on the eastern to Antiqua. She was checking on this (thought it was the 9-18 sailing) to find out the facts (and which port was being sacrificed. Haven't heard back yet . . . does anyone have any info??

Thanks
Al

We are on that cruise. It was my understanding that we would stop at Antiqua and not at St. Maarten. Are you saying there may be a change to this plan?

If you hear anything please let us know! I have 17 people sailing with me on that cruise!

westjones - I'm on the 10/2 sailing to Antiqua and St. Thomas. The way the OP stated the cruise as a "diversion" is kinda confusing at first glance. It's nor really a diversion, its a trial of a new route/port going to Antiqua instead of St. Maarten.

Until yesterday, I was booked on the 10/2 cruise (room 7120 is now open, if anyone wants it), and had not been told of any new changes in itinerary. It remains as it was scheduled: Antigua, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay.

There are also a handful of cruises this fall which will call at San Juan instead of St. Maarten.

All eastern trips are still scheduled to call at St. Thomas.

Thanks so much, Lloyd, for the tip.......I'm on the 10/2 cruise as well and I just called and got your former cabin! We originally had 7122 which is a standard cat7. The one you just gave up is also a cat7 but was formally a cat5...... the veranda is a little obscured so they downgraded it. Sorry you won't be on the cruise with us, but thanks again for the tip!

jeanneg,

I'm glad you were able to get the cabin. At least another DISer was able to benefit from our change of plans. Enjoy your trip!

A "diversion" from the original route was how it was explained to me by the TA. I guess a true diversion would be while in transit to St. Maarten. . . Sorry if I confused the issue!

Jeanne-
we are on the 10/2 in room 6138...but wanted to be on deck 7 so we would be closer to that 'hidden' deck. I'm going for your old room! Funny how things work out!
