I feel as if I am asking a ton of questions here lately, when I guess I should be asking the DFTW people. I just like asking you guys because you have done it, and not just plan it.

Anyways, I was reading the menus on the Disney website. They have menues for rehearsal dinners. I am just wondering what are the locations for the rehearsal dinners? Are they the same as the wedding reception locations? I know a lot of you ladies choose to go to O'hanas, but has anybody had a (?)custom(?) rehearsal???

I saw those the other day and was wondering the same thing, Would be good to know

I'm pretty sure any of the menus listed could be used for the rehearsal dinner, and could also be tweaked. As for the RD locations, I believe you could use some of the reception locations as well as others. We had our RD at shipwreck beach by the Yacht and Beach club. And we chose one of the bbq menus, DH LOVES bbq!::yes::

For rehearsal you can have a private catered event at locations like the California grill, Summer house at the FG but they all have certain minumums required that you meet. You can also just have it at any of the restaurants and you just book a regular reservation. Ohana's is a popular place for rehearsal dinners and the dinners are a set price. We looked into a private catered event but it was too expensive.

We originally priced a rehearsal dinner for 50 at the Attic (love that place)...we wanted the basics hamburgers, hotdogs, bbq...kind of a fun picnic ....total for that event was almost 5k....ugh...

50 at Ohana’s was a lot cheaper

If you didn't ask us, we would have no one to respond to ;) Anyway, I believe the rehearsal are for personalized dinner at non-traditional places (and therefore more $$$).
Ohanas is where I am having my welcome (rehearsal ) dinner and I can not recommend it enough!!!!! I went 1st w/ my DF and we loved it, than I went w/ my mom & sis and they loved it!!! I'm bringing in leis (sp?) for everyone :cool1: I am also toying with the idea of having a custom cake (for like $50) For big parties like to reserve at earlier or later times, but the later time is when you can catch Wishes (they pipe in the music). Free fireworks! The price is around $25 for adults, $13 for children, a great deal for all you-can-eat (served at your table though, so you don't have to get up like at buffet but sit around and enjoy your guests). It is also great if you have kids b/c they do the hula and sing Hawaiian songs. Check out allearsnet.com for menu, photos, etc...

I am going the custom rehearsal dinner route - my WP suggested locations such as the Attic, Ariels, California Grill and then also said it could be done in a small ballroom if we liked or in some instance there are in park locations like the 3rd floor of the AA in Epcot. We ended up choosing the Hollywood Hideaway in the Disney Studios.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
