Which should I choose? I was hoping to get the teacher's discount for the Swan but could only get 2 out of 5 nights. The Boardwalk I have the AP rate so it is actually cheaper. I'm leaning towards BW, since we have 5 and we won't have to bring an aerobed.

If the BW is cheaper then go for that. It's a really great resort and it sounds like you got an amazing rate :D

I would pick the BW. Im just not a Swan/Dolphin gal. Plus getting a cheaper rate you'll have some extra spending money :)

I love the Swan, but if the BW is cheaper I'd go for that. Did you try to get the AP rate at the Swan?

Does the BWI have a day bed, then? I always stay on the Villas side.

Didn't I read on another thread of yours that you're staying in a studio at the BWV's?? If so, is that 5th person a child under 3 who can sleep in a pak-n-play crib?? I only ask because you are mentioning not having to bring the aerobed. If your 5th person isn't able to sleep in the pak-n-play and you're going to be in a studio or 1bdrm, you'll still need it.

If I'm remembering wrong (which is entirely possible  ) and you're staying at BWI and will have the daybed on the other hand, then ignore me on that lol:p

I'd go for BW either way though if you'll have enough bed space for everyone ~ but I'm a
DVC member and I'm a little biased. So go where you'll get the best rate;) I've heard good things about those heavenly beds at Swan & dolphin.

Let us know!

Tough choice!! Both are GREAT resorts. I love the fact that the Swan/dolphin are always a little more quiet but then again, sometimes I like the fact that the BW is a little more fun and not so quiet. Hmmm...I guess I am no help, huh? But one question, did you ask about AP rates at the Swan? Best of luck and have fun!

Personally I don't like the Swan or the Dolphin so I would go with the Boardwalk, especially if it is cheaper.

I have enjoyed both resorts. Man oh man, the heavenly beds at the Westin hotels (including the Swan) are wonderful. Then again, the boardwalk location is really handy, and since the BWVs are out DVC "home", we have very warm feelings for BW.

Like most of the other posters then, I'll go with the price factor as the decision maker (dontcha just love those AP rates?). If you're getting a better deal at the BWI, thne by all means go for that.

Enjoy!
