I have to brag on my DH!!!!

He took his grandma to pick up her new sewing machine today, and they stopped at Archiver's (two hour drive from where we live) on the way back. He had a list of things I wanted/needed for my Disney book, and he said he'd do his best. He called me once to see about Mickey stuff, but other than that, he picked on his own. He got some Disney paper, two sheets of something "I saw and knew you'd like it", and he got a big Mickey punch. He said he spent more than I told him it should cost, but he saw the punch and he thought it was cute and something I would like, so he had to get it. I had him look for a few colors of single-sheet paper, and he got that plus a huge pack because I'd have more to pick from.

I have to say, he did good! Some the paper isn't what I would have picked, but he tried hard. They were in there about 45 minutes looking for stuff. He even asked about Dumbo stuff, because they didn't have what I wanted.

Thanks for letting me brag, I knew you guys would understand, even though I don't post here hardly at all.

What a great DH you have

My BF's mom has a social disorder and won't go to stores alone so he takes her. She's a beading nut so Michael's is also on their list of palces to go. He never comes home empty handed for me.... sometimes it was, I thought you might want another Zyron cartridge, they were on sale. Sometimes stickers, sometimes paper.... you get the idea. Guys like those are wonderful!

DH will shop with me on occasion but I really think it's to keep me from being there for hours.

My DH wouldn't have a clue what to get if he walked into Mike's or ACM. He'd probably buy me a build your own solar system kit or something random like that. He is the world's worst shopper!

Mine is pretty sweet too. We were out to eat after the aquarium Friday and not to far from Archivers. I asked if I could stop by and see if they had any more of the Karen Fosters Scrappers Rings (for my paperbag albums) and he said sure. I went in, looked where they are supposed to be, not there, so came back out. He's like, that's it? Are you sure, the boys and I are fine out here. So sweet. I stayed in the car. Aren't you all proud of me?

I have a sweet DH too. I have sent him on many missions to buy Cricut cartridges and he does well. I usually give him a list of my top 5 cartridges and he will pick the one he likes best! He will go shopping with me- he says to control my spending. What's funny is that I spend more when I am with him than when I go on my own.

I wish my DH would buy me a Cricut, but that won't happen for awhile. Ah well, I guess I'll keep him around......

DH will shop with me on occasion but I really think it's to keep me from being there for hours.

I think that's the only reason mine will shop with me too!

My DH is actually pretty wonderful about my addiction. Until recently, I never had a LSS near by so whenever we went on vaction anywhere, he'd let me drag him around to the various LSS wherever we went.

He often helps with layouts or will say to me when I am looking at digital pictures we've taken ... "that will look great on a page with that and blah blah blah ..." or will come over when I'm scrapbooking and give me positive suggestions about the page I'm working on.

If I asked my husband to go to any type of craft store with me he would say "Are you crazy?" If I asked him to go alone with a list I don't think he would be able to find the craft store. You ladies are incredibly lucky!!

I do have to admit that my DH is also one who gets into projects with me on occasion.Two years ago for Christmas, he bought me a huge rolling bag for my knitting , and another for my scrapbooking. No help from any of our daughters, went off to J's and made selections by himself. We seem to work well on some projects together, but on the wallpapering or painting, I know when to move out of the way!!!

That is so nice to hear about the supportive DHs! Mine is very sweet too: he bought me my own scrapping desk a few years ago, but I can't ever see him wandering around a store looking at stuff!

There used to be a LSS near my husbands parents house so he would take me there when we would were visiting them. He would just walk around the stripe mall while shopped.

My DH takes the kids into the pet shop while I shop - he says the Hobby Craft makes him nauseous (it does have strange lighting, and is not well laid out) but I think its so I don't linger too long as I know he'll be waiting. I did go in for something tiny once and buy a (small) bead caddy - the type with individual crew pots so if you drop it stuff doesn't go everywhere - and as soon as he clocked the bag he was "I thought you only went i for..." I get most of my stuff online and hope it comes when I'm at home and he's at work - I was so lucky with my pizza box grab bacg!

Mine is pretty good, also. We have an awesome newish scrapbook store that is about 45 minutes away but is 10,000 square feet and has the entire Bazzill cardstock line. He will drive up with me to keep me company and then bring a book and hang out in the comfy chairs by the door while I wander around and shop. He "checks in" a couple of times but is generally very patient.

Around here, we call husbands who are patient with scrapbooking "scrubbies" - scrapbooking hubbies. It is the highest compliment in our neighborhood!

my DH is pretty sweet too, after all I did get my cricut as an early b-day present......but he has never bought anything specific, but I do usually get a Mike's gc for x-mas each year.

Hey TPCShauna where is the lss your talking about, I live in Modesto now but used to live up in Folsom area, we don't have a real great lss here, I'm always on the hunt for a new one, recently found one in Lodi, but wasn't much better than what I have here. Thanks........

I live in West Sacramento. The new store is called Green Tangerines and it is in Rocklin off of Hwy. 65. The website is www.mygreentangerines.com. The store is huge and the prices are pretty good. It's just about 40 minutes from my house but worth the drive when I'm refilling my stash. I definitely plan for my trips up there.

My wife is pretty good about my scrapbooking stuff too. She will go to Michaels with me and wander around the other things while I pick out paper and stickers etc. She will even add to my pile if there is something she likes I havent picked up yet. She just told me our Son in law's Michaels will be getting the Disney cricut cartridges soon so we will be making a trip there soon afterwards. She said I could get both of them and the states one
