I have started to panic...

I totally understand. I'm so glad our check in is only half an hour before. It'll be bad enough having to get our 3 out their bed at that time, never mind ready and over to the airport as well

Yeah I would try phoning to check, or you could have a look on their website and see if it will tell you there :confused3 Maybe if you can check in online, you can get check in times online too?

I have had a look online and it says from European destinations, the check-in deadline is 30 minutes. I might phone up though because I don't know whether that is for people who have checked in online. Are you checking in online or is your actual check-in 30 minutes before your flight?

If you go to the "book online/flight status" option on the homepage, when you hover over it a list will appear, if you go down to "your reservations", put in your details, it should come up with your flight details and just under the departure airport it should have "check in deadline".

I had to go look as you had me worried :rotfl: mine is definitely half an hour though, so I can relax again :lmao:

You are a genius!:worship: I have followed your instructions and found that my check-in deadline is 6.00 am. Woo HOO!! I don't want to cut it too fine, so I will probably leave the house at 5 (as it's a half hour drive) but that is so much better than hanging around the airport for 2 hours. Now all I will worry about is the flight being overbooked...:rotfl:

Oh don't say that! That happened to us on our flight out to WDW the other year (6 adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old) was not nice! I guess if you wanted to check that you could see if it would let you book another seat on that flight ;) obviously not actually confirming the booking at the end though :rotfl:

:scared1: I would have been furious. I can't see how airlines are allowed to do this. It seems so unfair.

My mum went absolutely mental. We'd paid full price for the kids because we wanted them to have their own seats on such a long flight, but that meant the airline thought it was a large group of adults and when they over booked the flight they thought nothing of kicking a group of 8 adults off. It meant we had to get a flight out 3 days later and missed a huge chunk of our holiday - 3 days is a lot to miss at WDW. It kind of ruined the whole holiday in the end because everything was so rushed and there was no time to chill out at all. The airline paid us £200 in compensation :scared1: and it was in vouchers to use with their airline (Continental Airlines if you were wondering ;) ) like we'd use them again :sad2:

dont forget that you need to go through all the security checks before you check in which can take a long time especially if there are a lot of flights leaving

That is shocking. I thought you would get bumped onto the next flight - perhaps several hours later -3 DAYS!!! I would have been in tears. Like you said, it's a huge chunk out of your holiday and trips to Florida don't come cheap. I have made a mental note of the airline - I'll fly Virgin if we can ever afford to go to WDW.:rotfl:

Continental Airlines refused responsibility at the time and told us that we had to get in touch with the travel agents, but it was over christmas/weekends aswell so that added to the time it took.

Apparantly they make a point of not doing it to families/people travelling with children, so it really shouldn't happen. Unfortunately we made the mistake of actually paying for the kids to get a seat :rotfl: thinking it would make the trip easier :rotfl2:

Yes, I've already started to ponder this. I am a born worrier, so I'll probably end up leaving the house at 4 anyway!:lmao:

I think that is disgusting. I would be gutted if that happened to me. £200 in vouchers is an insult.

I thought you checked in before security checks? That's what happened to us the last time.

Yeah £200 was pretty shocking. It bothered us for a long time, but it's just one of these things and I'm a great believer that eveything happens for a reason. I have no idea what the reason could possibly be, but I'm sure there is on :lmao:

That is a good attitude to have. I could chat all night but I'll pay for it in the morning when the kids are all up demanding breakfast at 7.:rotfl: Have really enjoyed chatting with you - I'll catch up with you tomorrow.:goodvibes

Yeah you too. I'm off to bed now as well. Goodnight!
