When is the best time to get there to get a good seat?
Do they serve only liquer (thats wht I am lookg for, lol).
How big is the place?
How late is it open till?
We are staying at Saratoga springs for 1 night at downtown disney this sunday night 8/20th
How would we get back to the hotel if we are drunk (not planning on it, but just in case)
Do they get kinda raunchy or "adult Talk" there? (ours does and we love it!)
It is our 1st child free night in nearly 5 years!
we have a bar here in tampa that sounds justlike it, I actually think it may be owned by the same people.

You can get drinks in these bucket things (they have long island ice tea, hurricanes and a few others).
It is called Howl At the Moon.
matter of fact I have a bucket right next to me from months ago when we went we saved the buckets to let the kids pay with (they are 1 year old tripletsa and a 4 year old).
the bucket says:
Howl At The Moon
Stumps Supper Club
The most fun you can have with your clothes on.
says all the cities and 1st shows tampa, then orlando.

thanks for any help, and any tips would be great.
ew were going to go to pleasure island, but i think it wont be fun anymore. I dont dance anymore and to old! lol! I hit the BIG 27 this year!!

We had a blast at Jellyrolls! Amazing time!

The performers are incredible!

Now for your questions...I can't answer them all, but I'll try.

It is a full bar so certainly serves alcohol, but I'm sure they also serve juice and soda. No food, if I remember correctly.

How big? Hmm...I'm not sure how to describe it. It's a good size, but can certainly get crowded on busy nights. They have two levels of seating though, so those in the back still have a good view.

Not sure how late it's open till (maybe 1 am this time of year?) and what time to go to get a seat, but I would say get there not too long after opening, which was 7pm last time I was there.

Getting back to the hotel, a taxi would be the most direct route. Probably $5-10. Otherwise, go to the BW resort bus stop and catch one to DTD.

I don't think the performers get raunchy - not very "Disney" to do so - but they certainly make jokes and keep everyone entertained. They pull people up onstage and do some audience participation songs.

When is the best time to get there to get a good seat? On a busy night, esp. weekends and Tuesdays, plan to get there around 7:30-8 if you want a good table
Do they serve only liquer (thats wht I am lookg for, lol). It's a regular bar - 21 and older to get in
How big is the place? About an average-size club
How late is it open till? Last call is 1:30am, doors close at 2am

How would we get back to the hotel if we are drunk (not planning on it, but just in case) At that time of night, taxi would be your best option and they are available at the valet area of the Boardwalk - with tip it'd run around $20-25???
Do they get kinda raunchy or "adult Talk" there? (ours does and we love it!) It's on Disney property (not Disney-owned), but they do have alot of fun!!!

Check it out for yourself!!!
:teeth:

1-year-old triplets and a 4-year old?!? I think you probably deserve a drink. :)

JRs is nowhere near as raunchy as Howl at the Moon, but I have to give JRs a slight edge in song variety. Otherwise both are fairly comparable in size and feel.

You do know JRs is at the Boardwalk, not Downtown Disney, right? Completely different places.

Jellyrolls is open from 7PM - 2AM, with entertainment starting at 8PM. As long as you're there prior to Illuminations ending (9:15-9:30), you'll get a good seat.

It is definately not raunchy (it's on Disney property; it has to stay within Disney guidelines). The entertainment is still very crowd-interactive, though - always a good time!

It is the size of an average bar, and as others have mentioned, does have a full bar. Pretty decent pricing for drinks, also.

Go, have fun, and enjoy Jellyrolls!

There is also a Howl at the Moon in Orlando, I'm pretty sure that Jellyrolls isn't owned by the same folks.

Why are Tuesday Nights more crowded?

Terri

Tuesdays are known as Cast Member nights. It used to be that Sundays and Tuesdays were the only days Disney Cast Members were allowed in to Jellyrolls free (didn't have to pay the cover charge), but this was recently changed to every night. However, Tuesday is still known as Cast Member night, and they get discounted drinks.

Jellyrolls is the best! Everytime I have gone, late at night around 10 it has not been crowded.

Things are not raunchy, they are always "keeping it Disney". Last time I was there with my friends we requested "The Humpty Dance" and YES they actually played it! Of course they did censor out some of the naughty bits of the song! But it was still great.

Definitely good, it's a wild time.

stina :thumbsup2

Well we went to disney and had so much fun.
at the last minute we decided to bring our 4 year old along with us.
BUT SO GLAD we did!
she had somuch fun just hanging out with mom and dad and no babies!
WQe got to do so many ridses and just hand out.
She is an easy kid and doesnt mind lines and well just has so much fun!

We did MK for most of sunday, then around 6pm we went to epcot and decided to do drinks around the world.
we had a drink of some sort at nearly every world.
by the time we finished that it was PERFECT timing! it was
9pm and time for the firworks, which we have never seen the Epcot fireworks!
then we decided to stroll around the boardwalk and get another drink.
we went to the ESPN club and got 1 drink each and the kid some food.
we ran around there took pictures at the photo booth. chatted with some cast members that were only 18 and just off of work!
then we wet back to our resort (not drunk thank goodness) and went out on the balcony and saw the downtown disney view from our room # 4136 at saratoga springs. it was a GREAT room, GREAT view!

went to bed at 12:30 and woke up without the hangover at 8am and it is now 7:30pm and we are back at home.
we did so much and had so much fun.

I do advise anyone to do the drinks around the world.
I tried things I normally wouldnt try and ended up enjoying all of them but 1!!! and I never drink!

I can say that I would have ended up very drunk had epcot not closed at 9pm and we had the 4 year old. If we hadnt brought her along we would have ended up at Jelly Rolls and then DRUNK!

Just to let you know a cheap option for easy transport to Saratoga is to get a bus from Broadwalk to Downtown Disney then either Walk (there is a walk way along to Saratoga) or get the bus back to Saratoga. More drinking money.

Unless you close the place this is a good way to save money (there is a bus to DTD, but not a direct bus to SSR from BW), but if you're there until closing....... you'll be waiting until the morning for the next bus

There is an $8 per person cover charge. No drink minimum, though. :)

This gave me an idea. How late does the boat run from DT disney that goes to Port Orleans Riverside. If we didnt stay at Jellyrolls too late, perhaps we could take the bus to DT & the boat back to our resort?

I stayed at PO earlier this year and considered using the bus and DTD route back after Jellyrolls. The last boat, however, was before midnight. In addition, the boats are infrequent and extremely slow. I decided to just take a taxi. It only cost a few dollars and took less than 10 minutes. After a night of fun at Jellyrolls, I doubt I would ever consider the buses again.

How much did the Taxi cost? We were considering that. I think someone said about $5. We are early birds so will probably leave around 10 or 11! :confused3

If we decide on the bus, what would be the lastest time you would leave? Guess if we leave early, the bus might be the way to go but if we stay late, a Taxi?

Taxi fares in the Orlando area are very high. The first 1/4 mile is $2.00, and then it is 25¢ per 1/8 mile, so it is $3.50 for the first mile and $2.00 per mile after thant. It is almost impossible to get a taxi ride between any two points on WDW for under $10.00, and usually more in the $15 - $20 range (plus tip).
