Just curious what and how much risks a rental broker such as David's should bear in this business transaction? Do you think the commission they make is only good for match-making?

No, and good question. David’s, imo, has been negligent from the onset with their incomplete, unvetted (imo) contracts. I truly believe they should not make a dime off these transactions.
They are also a business, and need to share in the “suck it up” aspect.
My main point is the renters did fulfilled their obligations, but were not delivered the product.

Aren't you a pilot or work for an airline? Of course they've never been known to try or even do something like this.....
