I stopped in at ToysRUs today to return something, and there was a very irate man in front of me at the service desk. He was trying to return a computer game that was open. The clerk politely told him they cannot accept games that are open unless they are damaged, and in that case they replace them with the same item. He said he didn't want the same item because his kids didn't like the game (thereby admitting it was used). The clerk was apologetic but firm. The man swore, grabbed the games and left. I returned my item, and as I was walking out the door I saw the man URINATING on the exit doors screaming obscenities and telling the store to, shall we say, fornicate with itself. He almost got it on me when I walked out! I have to admit what I said to the man was not at all ladylike, but I refuse to apologize for it.

Ewwww!!! Where is security when you need them!  That would have been on videotape, don't you think?!

I don't blame you for being unladylike - yuck and double yuck!!

That's just gross. Where do these people come from???

You are the winner I think, so far for the most disgusting and obnoxious shopping scene for Christmas 2002.
Good Grief!

Ah and so the Christmas holiday shopping blitz begins! ;)

That showed them:rolleyes: Don't individuals realize that sometimes it is themselves they are making look bad.;)

 It is that ole ME ME ME mentallity! Just plain awful.

I totally agree. I don't know of ANY stores that take back opened video games, this is standard practice. If you want to try a game, go to the video store and rent it. That's what we do.

It's getting scary out there!

Oh my! I thought everybody knew that it was against the law for stores to accept returns on video games, movies, CD's, etc. But I guess this guy thinks he's above everyone else, so that doesn't matter to him.

As many games as I've bought I know that they ALWAYS put this on the back of the receipt. It lists all the things that CAN NOT be returned. And I know in my Toys R Us, when you buy games you have to go to a "secure" area and you can only check out at the register inside the "secure" area and there is a great big huge sign on the register that says "No Returns!" You should've turned around and told the store to call 911 and made sure you got his license plate number if he left. I mean, that is HIGHLY illegal, especialy since there was a possiblity for a lot of kids to see him.

You're right, Princess Aurora. I was so stunned though that I wasn't thinking clearly. After I told him what I thought of him, I quickly got in my car and left. I figured if he was wacko enough to do that, he might be wacko enough to get violent. I'm not sure if anyone was behind me, or if anyone else saw him. I do know though, that there are security cameras in the parking lot. I suppose I could call the store and tell them what I saw. It's probably too late to do anything now though.

Ewww...that is disgusting. How rude to do that at the exit. That isn't hurting the store, but I sure feel bad for anyone who used that exit that day and ended up walking in it without knowing it.
