I have not read the posts, however…

Flame Alert! Flame Alert!

New Thread is up! The North vs. the South & which ones walk across the street faster! Get your comment in now before there are too many pages to read.

For the record, if it's a Wal-Mart, the patrons walk exceedingly slowly - whether they're Yankees or Rebels. Yeah, I'm a Wal-Mart hater.

Hmm. I was the first one to respond on that thread. I tried to be diplomatic in suggesting that people cross quickly, but in a herd, like buffalo, in NYC, whereas it may just be a local thing (charlotte, NC) where people cross the street slowly.

Of course, Charlotte is a very old city; hence it must be populated by very old people, which means that there are a lot of Denny's and Walmarts. I forget the point I'm making.

I was being mildly amused by this thread, trying to decide if I should post my own nonsense. And then this made me laugh out loud and I am currently still laughing.

Now, I haven't had time to read this entire thread as I am swamped with all the CSI's I need to catch up on. But is it just me or is there no Jon & Kate on this thread? I thought they were supposed to be everywhere, so why are you all shirking your responsibilities and leaving them off this thread?

I, too, hate mayo. No one ever makes concessions for me though so I suppose I am unloved by all.

Epidurals should be available to everyone at all times, as should handicap parking spaces.

As for turkeys, I hear they need made. And that lots of people are about to make them. Cool. I made my non-mayo containing frozen mashed potato recipe up last week and it is in my freezer.

Am I allowed to comment on crazy threads from other boards on this giant community? And not just on the community board? Because I have a TON to say about multiple dining reservations when you are not even going to WDW, 16 year olds being pushed in strollers used as battering rams, and, or course, refillable mugs being used at local McDonald's.

The general answer to your absurbly long question (I did not actually read your post) is "yes".

Frank hate mayonaise

Who is this Frank, & how do we get together? Although, my DH may not like that.

Other things I've learned on the DIS:

* If your spouse won't let you use his/her cell phone, he/she is having an affair.

* If you suspect your spouse is having an affair, go clear out the bank account. Immediately.

* Splenda absolutely ruins candied yams.

* It is better to walk for 30 minutes rather than sit in your parked car for 30 minutes while you wait on your DD to get out of school.

* It doesn't matter what your child did or did not do in school, if you have a problem w/ it, go immediately to the school board.

* Have you considered counseling?

* If someone steals your pumpkins off your porch, call the police. Wait. Do not call the police. No, do. Aw, heck. Go find the pumpkins & steal 'em back.

* Don't let your dogs trick-or-treat.

* Don't drink while trick-or-treating. Or maybe do.

And, as an aside, on the way home from school, my DD complained about the new aide. She claimed she was "mean". I asked, "How is she mean? Is she mean to you?" DD replied, "Not yet. But I know she will be." I told her to suck it up (in nicer words, of course!). However, now I'm second-guessing myself. Should I have turned the car around, driven back, & demanded a meeting w/ her teacher (or better yet the principal) since the new aide may be mean to my DD at some future date?

:lmao:

Wendy31 used the "I haven't read all the posts" quote on the Southern thread (mind, there were only 13 responses)!

:drinking1

I triple dog dare someone to use the phrase "I haven't read all the post" line on a brand new thread, i.e., where you are the very first response.

I will be :worship: towards you.

Someone on the "What's Crackin'" thread is gonna start talking about how purposefully popping your joints is dangerous. Someone else is gonna complain about the kid in Wal-Mart who was popping his knuckles loudly & ruining his/her shopping experience.

I don't have a specific thread, but I have a standard answer in my head for alot of them. It is "Get over it, if this is the worst thing that happens to you today, consider yourself lucky." Whew that felt good.

As long as we're venting, I'd just like to say the "everybody stop posting now because I feel like this topic has run its course" people are almost as bad as the "read every word on the thread before you post" people.

Thank you. Now that I've had my say, feel free to close this thread. ;)

I am very, very serious about how some people take laundry seriously. I also am a member of the cruise critic message board (about, well, crusing) and every so often a thread will pop up about 'reserving' a washer or sitting on a dryer on a cruise ship, and the thread will simply explode with anger and arguments.

You post on that thing? You're braver than I thought.

I haven't read the whole thread, but I was afraid someone didn't follow the "new rule." ;)

OK, at what point can we all agree that this is no longer a "new rule"?

And...don't we have something better to do with our time?;)

Yes. Yes we do. Or not.

"Couple Arrested for Refusing to Pay Tip"

~servers work hard for their $2.50/hour, you should always overtip.
~I never tip. Servers can suck it.
~Expect to get 'a little extra sumptin' in your food.
~That's not funny. I don't want spit in my food.
~You could get H1N1 from that
~No, I've had the vaccine.
~I refuse to get the vaccine and my kids aren't getting it either.
~You are an irresponsible parent.
~No, YOU are an irresponsible parent.
~I am not. I use a car seat.
~ I refuse to use car seats.

Really, the possiblilities are endless.

People at Wal-Marts in the south walk way slower than people at Wal-Marts in the north. That was the discussion, right? JM2C

I posted on cruisecritic way before I found the Dis. I learned my lesson YEARS ago on that board when I innocently said I was taking my 10 month old (she's 7 now) on a cruise and were umbrella strollers allowed on board and some random person popped on the thread to explain how many people die every year from Ecoli oozing from swim diapers and that I should be shot for even considering taking a 10 month old on a cruise. :rotfl:
